FAISALABAD (INP): Holding clubs and stones in their hands, hundreds of protestors attacked WAPDA’s sub divisional office here on Sheikhupura road and ransacked its premises.
The angry demonstrators also turned to Faisalabad Electric Supply Company’s (FESCO) grid station and damaged furniture inside it, giving vent to their anger over the unannounced load-shedding.
Police opened aerial firing and chased the youths till their homes in response to the stone-pelting. Enraged police officials entered into several houses, tortured women and arrested several protesters.
Meanwhile, students of Wafaqi Urdu University in Islamabad also protested against loadshedding.
Moreover, residents of Khanewal also protested against severe loadshedding and blocked Lahore-Multan and Khanewal-Kabirwala roads..

Well first of all, the protestors there needed to be thrashed, they barged into WAPDA and FESCO offices, looted the equipment, tore the official records, destroyed equipment. Now destroying a feeder station isn't gonna do any good, on the contrary it will make things even worse. Those people needed to be caught up and given a beating by the police, although a proper court trial for arson would have been more appropriate.

Secondly, the police was shown barging into houses with axes, tearing down the doors and then beating up the women and abusing them. That is not acceptable under any means. Just round them up and put them in jail, why beat the women up like that?

Both the parties are to blame.

Truth has come out regarding this protest.

This area was located near a factory, Sitara factory, whose owner is some influential guy with links. There was no loadshedding in this area because of the location of the factory. The SC recently passed a judgment that equal loadshedding be conducted in all areas of Pakistan.

So in light of that judgment, this particular area also started to suffer loadshedding of late. The people who were living on free electricity in the past now suddenly have had to suffer loadshedding like the rest. And they come out on the streets when the preferential attitude towards them has finished.

Again a gem of our media, they always give one side of the story.

You want to eat an omelet? Learn to break some eggs.. In this case they went on to smash the eggs so no omelet for anyone. We lack talent and professionalism in any thing we do, whether it be sports or simple subduing criminals or making a damn omelet.

I agree with you, however....

I promised the ignorant nooras on this forum then when shyt like this happens.
I will laugh at them while I sit comfortably abroad.

The guy was just saying that they voted for such people and now they see the fruits of their stupidity.

A Nuclear Power having super duper Military might country and on the Most Strategic location where all world's power interfere have NO ELECTRICITY!

ye b dekha jaye eek anookha Joke hey :D

remember when pmln leaders use to lead protest against load shedding them selves and use to say "hum awam kay jazbat ki tarjumani kar rahay hayn"

and their were hundreds of incidents of burning wapda offices or destroying them by protestors

did we see any such action by police which was under shahbaz sharif government then? simply no because they wanted to create scene as to make wave against ppp

and now they are beating protestors like butchers by Elite police same as they did in Lahore on PTI women protesting against rigging just after election 2013

THIS IS THEIR MENTALITY OF POLICE TERROR,TERROR BY FALSE CASES ETC ETC

JAB BE ISTIDAT SAY ZIDA POWER MILI SHARIFON NAY APNA APP ZAHIR KAR DIA

PIR PAGARO MARHOON SAID "JAB SHARIFS OPPOSITION MAYN HOTAY HAYN TU PAOON PARTAY HAYN AUR JAB POWER MAYN HOTAY HAYN TU GALAY PARTAY HAYN"

sir g, sitara factory Khurlayanwala Faisalabad makes electricity by their generation units uses this electricity for their consumption and gives their employes free supply in their employee colony and sells rest to government via agreement on set unit prices.

so the employees of sitara dont need to protest as they get free electricity by their company as usual.the people who are in adjoining areas would have protested who got electricity from WAPDA and the result is in front of them

many WAPDA offices were destroyed and looted in previous term of shahbaz in punjab but did we saw such handling of protestors by punjab police then? because pmln wanted anti ppp wave they allowed protestors and even encourage for riots bigger the better news coverage

and now they are doing police gardi like against PTI protestors in Lahore after 11 may polls on rigging it is pmln hall mark police and patwar gardi.
