PNS Baber Attacked by Somali Pirate

Can't believe some Pakistanis are happy that our forces rescued some Bhartis! Why our forces even bothered to rescue their pathetic lives is mind-boggling as their predicament should have been dealt by the Indian govt and certainly not by our commandos! I truly hope one day we get a competant government and patriotic army generals that radically changes our lenient stance with India.

No. Bro! ...we are Muslims and Muslims are alwayz kind hearted....alwayz try to saves innocent humans in trouble....on human basis.....cuz our religion teaches us like that...a true Muslim can never be cruel but alwayz forgiving....thats what we learn from our Rasool Allah PBUH and his Sahabah Rizwan-Allah -e-Ajmaeen.........and we shold feel happi about our good deeds......Alhamdolillah.....:)

MV Suez sinks: All crew members board PNS Zulfiqar

The 22 crew members of the Merchant Vessel (MV) Suez - including four Pakistanis – who were released by Somali pirates have boarded PNS Zulfiqar for the remainder of their trip back home.
PNS Zulfiqar anchored temporarily in the Gulf of Aden due to high tide in the ocean. It was scheduled to continue its journey back once the ocean settles.
The MV Suez sank into the sea after it encountered technical problems due to strong winds and rough seas on its way to the Salalah port in Oman. The tugboat towing the ship also broke down Monday night. However, the sailors were rescued before their ship could sink and were shifted on board the PNS Zulfiqar, which was dispatched by the Pakistan Navy to ferry the sailors back.
Naval chief Admiral Noman Bashir called on Prime Minister Gilani and briefed him about the rescue operation.
The crew of MV Suez includes 11 Egyptians, six Indians, four Pakistanis and one Sri Lankan.
The MV Suez, owned by an Egyptian company, had been first boarded by Somali pirates in August last year. Its crew of 22 was finally released on June 14, after payment of $2.1 million.
The operation, codenamed Operation Umeed-e-Nau, was executed in two stages. In the first stage, launched on June 16, PNS Babar commenced humanitarian assistance to MV Suez, which included the transfer of a special operations force and medical teams along with medical supplies and food provisions.
Pirate boats attempted to hijack the MV Suez again but were thwarted by PNS Babar as warning shots were fired.
During the operation’s second stage, master of the vessel, considering all options, requested Pakistan Navy for evacuation of the crew on humanitarian grounds.

Babur tried to disrupt
war game
.

The Pakistani warship that triggered a diplomatic
squabble between India and Pakistan ahead of the
foreign secretary level talks is a ‘history-sheeter’
that came dangerously close to Indian warships
in the Arabian Sea thrice in the past eight months
and even tried to disrupt war games being
conducted by the Indian Navy in international
waters.
Details have now emerged that show that the
PNS Babur has a history of aggressive behaviour
at sea and last Thursday’s incident when it
brushed past the INS Godavari while escorting
the MV Suez is the third time that it has
deliberately taunted Indian warships. It is also
speculated that all three incidents are related to the
Captainof the Pakistani warship, Azhar Naeem,
who spent three years in the ISI before taking
charge of the ship recently.
Source said that the first incident was recorded in
November last year when Indian warships were
taking part in the Defence of Gujarat Exercise. The
Babur came dangerously close and attempted to
disrupt the war game.

The action was repeated in January when it
attempted to interfere in war games in the
Arabian Sea.
In both cases, the Babur breached the three mile
distance that is followed by warships of both
countries as part of CBMs. Sources said the Indian
Navy lodged a complaint in both cases.
