PM Nawaz Sharif Inaugurates Islamabad-Karachi Green Line Train

Which one else is covering the same route except tezgam? Please let me know. If you want to travel cheap, you can always travel in all-economy Pakistan exp

Pak Business Express route is:
Karachi >>> Rohri >>> Khanewal >>> Lahore

Green Line route is:
Karachi >>> Hyderabad >>> Rohri >>> Bahawalpur >>> Khanewal >>> Lahore and continues to Rawalpindi

Karachi Express:

Karachi >>> Hyderabad >>> Nawabshah >>> Rohri >>> Bahawalpur >>> Multan >>> Khanewal >>> Sahiwal >>> Raiwand >>> Lahore

The point to note is, Pak Business Express opted to have minimum stops possible in order to shorten the time between Karachi and Lahore. We know there is very little commute going from Bahawalpur and Hyderabad so Pak Business Express decided not to stop there. It is technically the very same route with 2 additional stops and slightly longer journey but less than Karachi Express.

As I said before, if it was cost-effective solution or quicker... anything but attractive product, the market would take it easily but I don't understand the logic of starting a train service with so much publicity when all it is doing is adding some bogies in existing infrastructure and instead of raising the frequency of existing train services, starting a new service from scratch. If it was serving the junctions not being covered already, it would be a welcome addition but if they have done nothing but added a new line on the same existing route already been served at least by two different trains (I guess it's more), the only attractive thing would be cheaper, more convenient at the same price or faster. I does nothing out of all these things

Like train to the moon? the real income of railways comes from Cargo, not passenger activity. There are already trains running on all sustainable routes.
Ignoring your rants, I believe Pakistan railway only has few operational trains right now that you can easily count on your fingers. Out of these trains, only recently cargo was given attention once again and it managed to increase its sales by 10 times as per the news posted 2 months ago. It still is not enough and it is very sad reality to know that only few thousand people travel on railways on regular basis as compared to 10 times smaller nations where millions of people travel on railway on daily basis.

You're comparing a metro service with intercity one. I would be surprised if a travel between London and say vienna costs 1200 PKR.
I just gave an example of London transportation system and also talked about domestic trains but you are talking about International train service that is obviously very different kind of a thing.

On promotional tickets, I can grant you that but regular trains wouldn't cost that cheap..
But such promotional offers are every month in UK, I have never seen such offers for Pakistanis.

You forgot an important thing
1-Pak business express also stops at HYD and RYK
Timings | Pak Business Express
2-If you want faster journey, choose Korakoram Express which has equivalent stops (Faisalabad while Landhi and Drig road for facilitation of commuters from Karachi). It costs ~4400
3-The same business class costs 2910 PKR in Karachi express so you pay less for more stops.

I agree to this that most of lahore bound trains including Business Express use the Khanewal-Lahore direct link and only one Lahore bound train (Korakoram) uses Track on Faisalabad line which covers important cities including Toba Tek Singh, Shorkot, Gojra,Faisalabad and Shaikhupura. If there wouldn't have been a direct train from Faisalabad to Karachi (Millet), the choice would have been pretty limited.

Which city, for example, you think is not covered?
Around 40-50 trains are currently active, most of the mixed and passenger trains have been suspended.
But such promotional offers are every month in UK, I have never seen such offers for Pakistanis.
The trains which have more stops are priced at 50-60% discount to the trains with lesser stops
For example, if I chose Korakoram Express I would end up paying PKR 4410 for business class berth
But if I choose Millet Express, I would get a business class berth in just 2680

Just corruption. The engine died soon after & the trip is expensive. It's cheaper to travel by air.

Also due to incompetency and mismanagement. ..Why they add 15-18 coaches when Engine is made for 10 coaches...Also not changing oil on Time and it's Nation which has to pay it from tax but who cares. ...

Why not they sell these to Fauji Foundation:
Pakistan Railways
NLC
Pakistan Post
PTCL
Dry Ports

ok this is interesting, please watch the first 3 minutes.

Shaukat Aziz inaugurated a train called Burraq in 2006 going from Karachi to Islamabad.
PPP inaugurated the train called "Tezro" in 2009 covering the same route of Karachi to Islamabad

All failed projects and as I gave my observations before, it could be part 3 of the same episode if it's not a unique product
