PM Mulk invites Japanese companies to invest in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister justice (R) Nasir-ul-Mulk Wednesday said Pakistan attached great importance to its relations with Japan and invited Japanese companies to avail the investment friendly environment in Pakistan.

He was talking to ambassador of Japan to Pakistan Takashi Kurai who paid a courtesy call on him at the prime minister’s office.

The prime minister also noted the long history of economic and development cooperation between the two countries.

Appreciating Japan’s acknowledgement of sacrifices and contributions made by Pakistan to eradicate the menace of terrorism, the prime minister said that it was time to change perception on security situation in Pakistan.

The ambassador conveyed greetings of prime minister Shinzo Abe and said Japan greatly valued bilateral relations with Pakistan and appreciated the efforts and achievements of the government and the people of Pakistan in the fight against terrorism.

He also appreciated Pakistan’s economic turnaround and growth trajectory.

He expressed the hope that Japan as a friend would continue to work with Pakistan for further strengthening of bilateral relations.

The prime minister thanked the Japanese ambassador and expressed his best wishes for his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe and said that the people of Pakistan eagerly looked forward to his visit.

Then what exactly is his job? Sit down and look pretty? No, he still does PM business but he isnt allowed to do other hefty work...Promoting Pakistan's image is EVERY Pakistani's job!

No government will ever commit anything with a Caretaker hukoomat.

All he should do is make sure law and Order prevails till the elected government with full constitutional powers.

They arent signing anything! It is an invitation, talks....Something solid takes time to build...

If someone comes and says I want to invest...Caretaker PM cant say go away shooo...I cant deal with you ....He will obviously do the minimum he is allowed that is promote and discuss what can be done to fetch such investors ...discuss pros and cons.....which sectors to invest- more like a consultant!

Japanese companies are looting to extrem extend Pakistani money in billions of dollars.

pak govt... improve our electronics/mechanical departments... i recommend a cours work, in which after BSc, people spend one year dedicately learning japnese (just for communication) then pursue MS & PhD in japan...

Who is pleading?

Diplomats dont just sit in their offices they are responsible for certain things...And if someone approaches them regarding something, they will give advice and invite...Common sense!
