PM Modi wants to know the reason behind slow Internet speed in India

China and USA are thrice as big and still they have much much faster internet.

Also, the quality of internet sucks in India.

Operators like Airtel, Vodafone, Reliance etc are lying to the people about the speeds they offer, while charging full money.

To my fellow Indians, here is a test:

Take a 3G internet plan when you visit Singapore in case you are about to.

Note the site loading time for some of the heavy multimedia websites (not google.com usual test) and note the difference.

Have tested this three times on three different occasions and found that the 3G in Singapore is faster than 3G in Delhi.

How can that be possible when they are supposed to be the same product?

Quality is what our companies lack.

There is a huge difference in MBPS(Mega Bytes per second) and Mbps(Mega Bits per second).
Most of these companies cleverly disguise it to make it look like they are offering us Bytes when what they really offer is Bits.

the one thing i hate most about India.Even in a developed region like Delhi-NCR,the maximum speed available is 4mbit up/0.5 mbit down.And the rates are atrocious(i know some cities have better internet facilities)

And the FUP is so irritating!

Beam Cable in Hyderabad offers good speed.... 50Mbps for 2500Rs I guess.

Thank God . ! Hope Mr PM will ask for unlimited 20 mb speed Internet for 999

We already have that offered by Beam Cable....

Are you kidding? What if internet is not available? What is we loose power and have only lappy in hand? Also try to store as much as you can bcoz govt is thinking about banning **** sites..

Watching the same stuff again and again gets boring after a point of time...
