Here's a realistic analysis by Gen Amjad Shoaib. About the dangers USA poses and how Pakistan shouldn't celebrate this as a democratic victory. Rather to be very vigilant and try to coax US for max benefits while not sumbitting ourselves completely to the American Shaitan (as khomeinis would call it).

Our strategy and foreign policy needs to be multi faceted and not geared towards one country or another. It needs to become business centric. Right now we are too defence/security centric, which is not bad but is not ideal either.
Military/establishment and new blood in Government at the very least desires for Pakistan to move forward positively.

But the capability of the average Joe in Pakistan is very lacking in terms of education, ethics and morals etc. But at same time same average Joe has tonnes of raw untapped skill and talent. Which crooks never tapped into and never allowed our economy to flourish. Instead made themselves into role models and every dhoodh wala, ghosht wala, sabzi wala etc followed them to try and reach the same level of corruption.

A good educated, morally and ethicaly upright Pakistani can easily found and run billion $ multi nationals. As is the case with many Pakistanis living lives overseas.

So the glorification of being a wadera/gangster/scammer/wise guy needs to be countered by public advisories, solid laws and proper systems of check and balance to get rid of this menace. By what islam teaches i.e amar bil maroof wa nahi anil munqar. Make people hate the corrupt and evil. Promote the virtuous and rightous.

There r many keys which US holds are important for Pak one is IMF and WB then they held our CSF plus trade and then weaponry. Pak cannot leave US alone we need them they need us plus we need a policy to stay relavent with US. Theior main concern is Afghanistan and we helping them but tricky is Iran he is our neighbour but we can't risk GCC anger they bailed us out from certain bankruptcy. So we have to be bit careful but wise look for our Economic interest as well we suffered because last four yrs we have no FM. I will consider his visit successful if we secure our interest in Afghanistan plus more funding from WB and ADB for Dams CSF trade lasting Vipers which I am sure will deliver also try to put PTM and rest of Baloch into terror list including theior leaders by name it's tall order but we have a right man at right job.
I am also in favour of engaging isreal diplomatically time has come we should look farward some sort of diplomatic relationship it will help us alot in US Pak relationship will leave Indians alone.
