What's new

PM Hasina plans to build aircraft in the country

Track record of your purchase is copying pakistan and the topic of making jets in BD which is very different of buying of the shelf

Probleum here you stuck neither here nor there

J 10A is also sophisticated than what BD has giving you to make it in BD wont happen

Yes ou can buy it off tge sgelf but this is not the topic here so talk sone sense in common sense of thread

Two points. Firstly, in regards to the original theme of this thread.

I have no idea how Hasina's plans will be implemented. I actually think its alot of hot air.

Secondly, in regards to BAF procurement. How on earth can you say BD has copied Pakistan?

How?

Because its bought Chinese planes?

Also your posts are not very clear.

You may wanna fix that.

But, the BD politicians have a certain economic purpose not to go after industrialization. They prefer their own cronies to import from China and India that fatten their pockets. What is then the use of industrialization if they cannot get quick kickbacks from the local industries?

This is why Hasina wants the people to keep under her thumb by taking them to a different world whereby the BD people will be visiting other galaxies instead of the middle east. Let our PDF idiots keep on dancing at least for another one thousand years.

@mb444

Sorry mate I dont speak retard. If you put that through google translate and if that can decipher your hindutva gibberish into something intelligible I will happily reply.

I might have understood some of the thread of your nonsense.... Hasina preventing industrialisation to buy from others....pray tell where is the money coming from.... from loans.... are these lenders stupid that they would lend to someone who can not pay back the loans. Obviously I am thinking you are not THAT stupid but I am probably wrong.

He want to cross the bridge before it appear. That delusional hypocrite always take the example of Japan or other developed countries to vilify Bangladesh or talk about India whose economic scale and market size is 10 times of our's.Their industrial scale and consumer base is vastly different than our's. One should ask this hypocrite why he do not let Bangladesh to be like it and allow it to follow it's own path of development?
Talking about industrial scale and consumer size, think about metrorail, India currenty has and under construction of 20 metro rail network in 20 cities. So it is perfectly logical for Indians to build metrorail related infrastructure indigenously and acquire technological know-how despite a low income country. Now compare it with Bangladesh.Bangladesh is much much smaller country than India and we have only Dhaka metrorail under construction. But that dilusional hypoctite is accusing Bangladesh for not being able to build metrorail like India.

Or take example of rail engine, this hypocrite declare that India is 200 years ahead of Bangladesh because it can build rail engine while Bangladesh can't. But do not know or choose to ignore the fact that, India has the 2nd largest rail network and passenger volume in the world .They need thousands of rail engine every year.So it is perfectly logical for them to acquire the technological knowledge and infrastructure indigenously. now our Railway is much much smaller and quite neglected one until recently. When we will gain some industrial scale here then we will have to concentrate on indigenous making. But now, we are perfectly fine with import from Indonesia or India.Different countries have different economic scale and need and they produce goods according to their need and capacity.

USA build passenger aircraft, spaceship, nuclear submarine,5th generation fighter aircraft but Switzerland make none of these.Does that mean Switzerland is inferior to United States in economy? We are industrializing according to our need and capacity. We are manufacturing garments, leather products, electric equipments, home electronics appliances, motor bike, cell phone and many other small and medium sized products. This is what logical for us in this stage of development and we are progressing step by step towards manufacturing complex things. But for some reason he can't realize this and beat the horse to fly in the sky like a drunkard.

You are really a stupid to declare India can do many things because it has this and that. If so, why then you guys are celebrating the manufacturing of planes in BD? So, when will BD have the maiden flight? Do not give me the lame excuse now like India can do for this and that reason and BD cannot do because of its small size.

Instead of talking false Hasina should know how BD people can learn from the other countries. Even a tiny Luxemburg or Belgium helps us because many inept guys like you were born in this country. What you have got are only the lame excuses. Do not please talk of many industries that do not earn much. BD is quite unsuccessful in terms of industrial manufacturing. Even the sponge sandals come from China.

Where I celebrated manufacturing plane here? Can you show me any proof? But why are you getting so much orgasm here about what Hasina said in one of her political speech? Why are you making it like your life and death depends on what she said? Why are you focusing so much whether Bangladesh will be able to deliver what she is wishing? Politician talk many things, not all of that comes true.Your favorite Narendra Modi declared that when he will come to power, 2 crore ''illegal Bangladeshi'' have to pack the bag and baggage and leave India. Does that materialized so far? Or anyone lyniching him for that like you are doing here towards Hasina? Why are you not realizing that you are an export quality fool for taking this seriously a politician's rhetoric and investing soo much emotion over it?

What proof do you need? Read the title of the thread. It is about BD building aircrafts and you are saying so many words. Why? is it not to support the jet plane building project?

It's about plan not manufacturing. Read the article, it is outlined clearly initially it will repair and overhaul aircraft and gradually will manufacture helicopter and aircraft. Where did you find that Hasina said it will happen overnight. If you still has concern about repairing, I can tell you already Ukraine setting up a repair facility for Mi-17 and Mi18!!!

https://quwa.org/2018/02/06/ukraine-opens-mi-8-mi-17-repair-centre-in-bangladesh/

I just love the amount of butt-hurt from posters from so many countries, including an Indonesian who is not the usual one!:D

These idiots are trying to tell a government that is now running the fastest growing 100 million+ pop. economy how they are getting it wrong. lol

All their predictions that infrastructure and IT was talk from AL has been proven all wrong, and they are doing the same with the plan to set up an aircraft industry in BD.

BD is not some small country that lacks money and brains. It is a 300 billion US dollar economy growing at 8% a year and has over 160 million people. Yes, this is very early stages and we should not expect a competitive fighter aircraft for at least 50 years but everyone needs to start somewhere.

Look at the track record of the purchases by BAF.

All Chinese or Russian.

Including most recently the F-7BGI in 2012-2013.

Currently, the Chinese are offering the FC-20 which is basically a J-10A for the export world.

You don't think if BD wanted to buy, the Chinese would sell?

I agree I don't think the Chinese would sell BD anything that is cutting edge in tech.

But the J-10A is fairly outdated.

I will also say the same for the Block 1 and 2 Thunders.

I can't see PK and CN refusing if BD wants it.

That being said, BD doesn't seem to want it.

I think you're off your rocker if you think BAF will ever buy Tejas.

But then again, the stupidity of some individuals in power never cease to amaze.

You may be proven right. Who knows.....

Depends what you mean by "cutting-edge".

BD would probably get anything that Pakistan can get, which is everything bar nuclear weapons, SSBMs, SSNs, J-20s, Type-55 destroyer, ABMs and a few other very high tech/sensitive stuff.

@Michael Corleone is under the impression that BD will be getting a customised version of J-10 and that may mean something equivalent to J-10C, including the AESA radar.

BD is not exactly massively cash-strapped now and getting the J-10A makes no sense and so it may as well get the Mig-35 in that case, which would be a better fighter with the AESA radar and more sophisticated electronics. There have been so many reports that the Mig-35 is not wanted by BAF.

Why would getting BD govt's bloody awful nose out of taxing manufacturing base be "slowing it down"?

You seem to not understand how free market economics work. BD does not have to choose A or B exclusively in either/or fashion...., why not simply let the market forces dictate the proper level for both (by removing all existing excessive taxes, duties and barriers), instead of govt manhandling this crap to only fund its goons, cronies and lackeys in perpetual short term?

BD has simply not created any semblance of a level playing field for basic manufacturing....and now you want to make some leap to advanced services...at your size and over-dependence (on RMG) of economy? LOL. Tell us how a typical RMG worker (largest single non-agri industry in BD) is exactly going to be trained to handle service exports? They are product of BD education system and are typically women with little education anyway, so what exactly is being changed at the root to make such a leap in the numbers needed?

Let us see the evidence. If its not there, @bluesky is completely correct that you need to think about the next basic industry (other assembly type manufacturing) that can use the human output BD is currently producing from its schools etc...why forego that for pie in the sky nonsense of jump to services? That is exactly the same stupidity and corruption of BD govt that has "me me me" complex in that it wants to have as little complexity in the economy as possible so it can control as much of it as possible for its own non-economic political purposes.

@Michael Corleone @Mage @Ashes

You do have some valid points but BD is already take some steps towards industrialisation.

A Chinese company will spend more than 2 billion US dollars setting up a steel mill in BD and imports of electronic components are now being so heavily taxed that Walton has set up it's own factory and is producing a lot of the parts itself now, this is decimating the assemblers in BD.

More needs to be done of course but steps are slowly being taken in the right direction.

Dude, can you focus on your English as your spelling and grammar are appalling.

You realise that Tejas is not practical due to the fact that the engine is US and the radar is Jewish?

BD has never brought a single bullet from India dude.

Hasina has had nearly 10 years to buy something from the Indians already.

It's about plan not manufacturing.
Will you guys ask your Hasina aunt to stop so many plans at the same time? She must be a genius. I wonder, how can she sleep at night with so many plans moving in her head. Can you tell me if any other PM of other countries keeps on blabbering on so many plans almost every day? It is just a meaningless jargon without a news value. Even the Indian and Pakistani PMs?
