It's hard to reason with you. POWs were taken by India, so it's but normal that India would seize their arms. They were of no use to India though as India operated different set of weaponry.

Sorry you don't make much sense, West Bengal has 25% of population Muslims by faith, BD has almost 10% as Hindus, it wound not have been possible if Bengali Muslims and Hindus feared each other.

Also what sort of Bengali card have we been playing? We offered our help when Bangladeshis were in trouble, there was not much for us to be benefited anyway. Though the Enemy Property Act has been renamed Vested Property Act, but the purpose of the same remained unchanged(It was repealed by Hasina in 2001 but no progress has been made to undone wrongs of past).

It wasn't possible as Republic of India was a reality where people don't get discriminated at ethnic and religious lines by the state. Also as you might already have noticed in this forum, a large chunk of Bangladeshis prefer their religious identity over aboriginal one.
