Plausible Turk-Pak Hybrid Presence Inside Afghanistan

Turkey may be better suited to build economic zones near the borders of Afghanistan, but clearly in Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, where Afghans can come and do business. Influencing the parties in Afghanistan through economics, and a direct link for trade to Europe through Turkic lands (without actually going into Afghanistan militarily) would achieve the goal of influence without the perception of imposition. I.e. The Turkic Corridor. The influence in Afghanistan would be from the regions near Herat (checkmating Iranian influence if the trade and labor opportunities are larger then trade Iran can offer) all the way to near Kunduz, and further inland along trade routes.

The Key will be if Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are on border, and willing to accommodate the idea, despite the risk of potentially antagonizing Russia.

Economic support will help prevent a new refugee crisis and should help generate funding from Europe to bankroll the idea. So it’s good for the Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan economy. Pakistan on its part can extend the economic zones near the Afghan border to do business there as well, and not have to risk going in. Respecting Afghan Sovereignty while creating a dependency/symbiotic relationship that ensures region stability. Chinese business deals /free trade zones with Tajikistan and the border regions of Afghanistan can help ensure a similar arrangement. To prevent the refugee flows, UN and EU funding could be sought.

The trickle will become a flood for Europe if supporting these kinds of efforts are not done soon.

Another element i forgot to mention with regards to pakistan vis a vis Afghanistan is that a stable afghanistan is a necessity for Pakistan to have trade and moving of goods between the turkic states in central asia.

And a stable Afghanistan is not possible without a functioning airport to ensure the flow of aid and infrastructure.

Pakistan would benefit from the Lapis Lazuli corridor into central asia, russia and Turkey and eventually into europe.

I hope the Turkish government won't let it be like a topic for the domestic politics. Dastum is a dubious figure with some influence on the commentators, policy makers etc....

This Dastum chap is hated in Pakistan as well. Very anti Pakistan individual.

Under any circumstances, Pakistan and Turkey should never find themselves on opposite sides within Afghanistan. We both have much bigger fish to fry.

Doesn't Turkey already have its hands full with its own regional issues: Syria, Libya, etc? Now it wants to get involved in a country on the other side of the Middle East?

You dont Afghanistan - both Turkey and Pakistan need to focus on the Wakhan corridor - that gets the direct link to Central asia and the Pakistani ports. From that point the Turkish efforts can focus on Armenia to ensure a link to the Baku port - baku links to Turkmenistan and then its a rail or road link to Pakistan. How is that beneficial to Turkey?

You dont Afghanistan

need to focus on the Wakhan corridor

how are you planning on focusing on Wakhan corridor, without Afghanistan, its Afghan territory? Are you suggesting annexing it?
Do you have to be a Muslim to be from Pakistan or just Pakistani?

well no, but you said I am a minority, which made me think if you were shia, ahmadi or something else.
