Good news indeed ... money spent on indigenous research should always be welcomed, but what we need is a good accountability system with score cards to measure progress. It will become hard to justify this money in coming years if funding is not result driven.

Its an OLD LCA Tejas withcanards and a more traditional delta wing with very little fuselage blending, and its very similar look to its direct Chinese platform version, the J-10. The mastering of the Tejas's cranked delta and its complementary fuselage design has enabled super-maneuverability making canards useless in the final LCA design. The lack of canards also improves its RCS.

Watch in between 6:28 to 6:43 ................ tells about RCS measurement facilities. Had a pic but forgot where it is.

It also talks about IR test facility, radiosity images and hot spot analysis, indicates stealth capabilities of Tejas.

These videos are old but have lots of info about Tejas development history and technological base developed in the country as part of Tejas development.

Jesus christ, why can't we just focus on getting the LCA up and running first?

Well you just need to start ahead of time so that we can atleast end up closing in on the other major aviation players. And don't worry...most of the technologies that were founded for LCA will be used in the MCA...like the landing gear alloy, composite, Aluminium-lithium alloy ribs, avionics and most importantly the engine development programme.

@spitfighter because if they not going to give scientists and industries a good project to work after completion of tejas project which is round the corner,then all the valuable expierence and talent gained will be faded with time so by next time for any future fighter project we have to start from scrach.
