PIA does it again! Recently the entity generates a revenue worth Rs17 million in just 10 days. However, the amount was earned through a paint job for a foreign customer.

Besides that, PIA uploaded a video on their official Facebook page and announced, “We have done it again! We completed a paint job in just 10 days for a foreign customer and earned 17 million PKR from it! We executed the intricate paint job with custom-made stencils for ATR 72 aircraft 9S-AAD of Fly CAA Company from Congo”.

PIA’s achievements under the PTI government
The current account deficit and a trade deficit of PIA have decreased through the reforms introduced by the PTI’s government.

However, reforms like saving through austerity drive, introducing flagship programs in the social sector have helped the entity to restore its lost dignity.

In August Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Media Iftikhar Durrani has said, “Meticulous measure has been taken to reduce and shrink the current account deficit by 30 percent along with catering to public debt servicing to $ 9.886 billion.”

Furthermore, PIA is also in the process of acquiring new technology, fuel-efficient planes to expand frequencies of flights and new destinations.

What on earth is this. I thought they might have made a huge profit or something which turned it around but this report is bragging about a Rs 17 million paint job?

Pathetic to watch the fore runner in world aviation happy with peanuts.

The world is cashing in on growing air travels demand. Turkey, Dubai, China etc are all building bigger, better airports and investing in their flag carriers. AND MAKING MONEY above all and PIA once the leader in world aviation is bragging about peanuts.

Just Pathetic.

No good is too small to not be appreciated. As Mother Teresa said, "We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop." Thumb's Up!

An airline that was going in huge loss is generating some revenue. That is a major achievement no matter how you look at it.
So let's keep your emotions aside and look at things with a bit of logic for once?

I almost forgot.

What a bongi news. No doubt, it has to be a PTI achievement.

For patwaris and ghulams no good news is news as long as they come from pti because they have sold their souls

Otherwise increase of 40% tax payer is itself a huge achievement, reduce of deficit is another achievement, increase of FDI, reduce of import, increase of export.

Dont know how your kind live in this country

If Bhutto has not destroyed PIA in the 70s, it could have been today's Emirates.

If you look at the gulf airliners, there is no political interference with them. The CEO calls all the shots and does what he thinks is best for the airline.

PIA on the other hand is a politicians playground. They sell jobs in PIA for votes and force PIA to do political stunts that make it unprofitable.

Well done PIA, stay resolute in your ambition to stabilize. Don't worry about those who whine and bicker like a bunch of spoilt brats. Next step, PIA to become one of top 5 International Flag Carriers in the Continent of Asia, in-sha-Allah.

Ah come on mate. Don;t be so insulting.
One needs brains to be able to sell the soul. You are giving them too much of a credit here.

some thing is better than no ybing. its a good move to utilize huge man force which is a liability on PIA. if you cant remove them just use them to earn money.

Make it profitable then sell 40% to 60% of it to private sector. We don’t want another party to come in power and destroy it.

everything is pathetic in Pakistan except the highways/Motorway. With PTI government in power, there is a hope for Pakistan even though PTI government may not be perfect.
