@Arsalan try going to Full frame ... you can Nikon D610 , or D750 in 150K pkr ... I am also looking for D750 but because of my budget constraints i am unable to get it :(

Guys it's all about the sensor, and then plenty diffused light to satisfy the sensitivity of the sensor.

Research the sensor, then buy the least expensive body with that sensor. Look at the gorgeous files you can get with FUJIFILM bodies. Go to my Bangladeshi Models thread and see RAFIQUL's shots (he is a pro fashion shooter in Dhaka), they are all shot with FUJIFILM bodies and lenses.

Lens doesn't even matter almost, I have seen some gorgeous shots with adapted manual 50mm 1.7 lenses from the 70s. All about the sensor.

Bro i don't use the camera much, 3-4 times a year!! A semi-decent one is what i am looking for. Considering how i was more inclined towards a bridge camera a few weeks back, a D5600 or D7200 will be more than enough for me.

.
I am looking for a dslr as well. I was advised by professional photographers to go for the full frame camera, like the cannon 6d. It costs around £700 for the camera and a few hundred pounds extra for the lenses. Total £1000 to £1200. Anything more than that is not worth it unless your wanting to be a professional photographer and are going to open your own business/studio.

well in that case i suggest go for Canon 80D or Nikon 5600 .. both are good DSLR

What do you guys think of GroPro camera for travelling photography?. The dslr is too big and heavy to carry around the world with ya

.
I cannot carry this many lens on my travels. That is why looking for one that can do satisfactory job over the range. Even a half decent job will do!!

Yeah,,, and i may also charter a plane to travel since those commercials airliners wont let me anywhere near their flights with this much gear

No, i will keep looking for a D5600 or 7200 with 16-300 is a deal pops up or else will simple go for either body only or with 18-55 (since price is not much different) and add 16-300 separately (at same time as i buy the camera as no point waiting for it)

One point though, when you talk about 16-300mm,, is it tamron you are talking about?

Also,, since there is a deal (at place where i can buy from :P) with D5600 with 18-140 (72US$) , will you recommend going for it and adding 16-300 later separately? Or is there no point in getting 18-140 when i plan to add 16-300 later? Or i can go for a deal D5600 with 18-55 and 70-300 at 660 US$.
D5600 body only is 430US$

One advantage i can think of is that with 18-140 i will have something to start, something better than 18-55 surely!!

What do you say?

Also, i should stick to D5600 right? No need to go for D7200? the difference is not huge as far as i understand.

All good choices you have outlined. Since you have a kit 18-55 lens already, I would just get a D5600 body and start getting familiar, while looking for the best possible Tamron 16-300 deal.

Like most things, jinna gurh pao gey unha hee mithaa hoye gaa. I would not get the 7200 to begin, given your described use. If, after a few years, you think you need to step up, I would suggest a full frame sensor at that point.

Any camera is better than no camera. :D

@VCheng having settled some of my pending work and foreseeing a relatively calm three four weeks up ahead having been blessed by a baby daughter that i will be taking loads of pictures of, its shopping time.

No 16-300mm for now though as i plan to add it later on. For now its one of the two choices,

D5600 with 18-140mm

OR

D5600 with 18-55 and 70-300mm.

OR

Buy a D5600mm body and add 55-200mm or a Tamron 18-200 f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC Lens
(will be in same price bracket)

Both available in same price of around 100k PKR.

Suggestion? Do remember that i plan to add 16-300 later on so help me decide accordingly.

Congratulations. Option A will work very well for now.

Done! I got a bit double minded because of option 3, adding a 18-200mm but will leave it and compensate with 16-300 later on. For now, will just go with D5600 18-140mm

18-140 is a very workable range. Just rig up a flash diffuser and reflector to add a little bit of additional soft light and you will be take to take great portraits of the baby at around 85 mm where the lens will be quite sharp.

Haven't bought it yet. :(
Planning a trip in April so will have to get it before it. May be will buy on my way from Dubai airport.

This is really impressive! Specially considering that its from mobile.

@VCheng awain myra kharcha krwa rahy hoo bhai aap! :D

Hey, it is your choice. If you want to get a G5 instead of a DSLR, it is fine by me, if those types of cameras work for the type of photography you have in mind. I use my iPhone camera all the time, in addition to a pocket camera, plus the DSLRs. Large aperture lenses and sensors have thier own charms. :D
