Philippines signs pact with India for Brahmos missiles

If they can, they will - based on their power n prowess to exercise their will when the recipient country does not fit their parameters.

Example of an imaginary scenario:

India and Ukraine are friends, Ukraine is collaborating with India to increase its space heavy lift capability from 4 tonnes to 6 tonnes.. If India wants to export these BrahMos to Ukraine, Russia will oppose.
There could be few more such examples similarly.
What is hard to understand here?

Your paragraph is full of inconsistency and a discrepancy.
I was talking in context of SE Asian countries which have no enmity to Russia, so Russia will not oppose sale to these countries. Do you see any need to ponder over Russian rejection wrt sale to SE Asia?

The US is a superpower.
Russia and China = Great powers (UNSC members)
India = A regional power.
A mere UN seat does not give you superpower nor stand in the way. Otherwise, France and Britian would have also qualified. Germany without a UNSC seat still wields more power in Europe than France or UK.

Overtime, either UN permanent seat would lose its value or India would be co-opted.

.
Fact: The Philippines and China might be arguing about lines in the SCS but they are NOT fighting and are even still assisting each other.

Fact: The Philippines has been in a real conflict. That conflict was with Muslim insurgents who were trying to break apart the Philippines.

Because of the insurgents a nation that once was content with a weak military now desires a stronger military to help hold the nation together.

.
When is the Supa Powa delivering the Brahmos to Vietnam?

Do the daft Indians really think Russia will allow sale of Brahmos to countries that threaten it's strategic ally China?
Russia sells top-of-the-line systems to India, which is an active adversary of China.... And would hesitate to authorize the sale to Philipines...

That quality of logic truly justifies your handle > Pakistan Space Agency.... :pakistan:

Both China and India are friends of Russia if you didn't know and Russia is involved in maintaining a certain military balance between the two.

Others, Vietnam and Philippines - puppets of US (or troublemakers) don't count.

Use a functioning brain cell or two when you post again.

History between India and Russia during Cold war aside, today the only relationship between India and Russia is that India buys weapons from Russia. Nothing much other than that. India has deep relations with US. Still Russia sells to India. Because it needs money and cant be too choosy in whom it sells.
Unless it is not a direct adversary to Russia, it will sell.
If Russia had any issues with selling to Vietnam and Phillipines, it would have privately conveyed its opposition to India long ago. And India would have stopped talking about selling to SE Asian countries.

I don't see any hurdle on above from Russia.

Instead, a more powerful question to you.
Will Russia approve any Indian (BrahMos) sale to Taiwan if any?

A mere UN seat does not give you superpower nor stand in the way. Otherwise, France and Britian would have also qualified. Germany without a UNSC seat still wields more power in Europe than France or UK.

Overtime, either UN permanent seat would lose its value or India would be co-opted.

Bottom line: There can be no superpower without the coveted P-5 seat.

And India can never have this in the present UNO system or structure.

I dont think India is going to offer Brahmos to Taiwan. But I agree that Russia is not likely to approve the sale to Taiwan. But it is a special case since China consider Taiwan part of it, so it will be too close for comfort for them.

Bottom line: There can be no superpower without the coveted P-5 seat.
And India can never have this in the present UNO system or structure.
When the time comes, either UNSC will bend for India or lose its importance.
Currently, 4 out of 5 nations in P-5 are Indian allies. We can get any veto we need through them.

.
you had the grand chance to test how inferior our weapon's were for 10 months.... if you know they are really not good quality then you should have taken a much bigger chance and liberated Arunachal and Sikkim and Ladakh.... why did you not?

Are you kidding me?
Who can attack India: according to Indian media, single Indian soldier killed 12 Chinese soldiers with knife. We thought your army is consist of superman. That is why your weapons suck because supermen don't need weapons.

why do you listen to everything that we say, look other way

Because India media kept repeating it every year, it is really hard to ignore.

you will see both potential and reality a lot in coming days

Yes, another "will".

.
Nice missile. The only thing in the indian inventory which i think pak doesn't have an answer too.

.
There is “hope”, there is “desire” and there is “reality”.

Hope and Desire - Russia will stop India from exporting the missiles.

Reality - Would India go ahead and broker a deal without Russia being onboard?

It is hilarious to see people presuming that this deal will fall because Russia would say no. Would Indians not know about these aspects while making a deal like this?

Keep Hoping and Hopping.
