China wont go against Myanmar so no point giving them many blocks. We can give them 1 or 2 to show a sign of good faith.

So, Chinese companies may be allowed to drill in the BoB zones that have maritime boundary with India, instead.

It could be a few hundred million barrels or tens of billions of barrels.

If the number is the latter end, then BD has struck gold.

Both India and Myanmar has struck huge reserves in their respective basins in Bay of Bengal. Just one those findings can alleviate the power issue woes significantly in Bangladesh.

Unfortunately we are in the front line but our part in the process of eating up the ozone layer is a tiny fraction. So we need rapid development. It will affect environment marginally. But when we are economically more sound, we can minimize the damage done using the money.
