I'm penning this thread to appeal to the admins and the Defense.pk community that re-instateing @A-Team would be the right thing to do.

A few points that I'd like to list:
1. Despite our disagreements: @A-Team always tried to pose a cooperative/collaborative view point in South/Central Asia the world
2. A person in his/her virtual life (as in his/her real life) should be judged based on the bulk of his/her actions and not the minority of their actions
3. Defense.pk already suffers from a dearth of Afghan members -- muting out another one of these few voices would further stunt the debate -- and debate is life

Would appreciate if you pass this thread around and petition the admins as well.

Thanks.

It would be good to have him back. However are you in contact with him? Does he want to come back? I am asking so that we know he wants to come back. Know from experience that some members don't take banning and infractions from the mods too kindly. lastofthepatriots had the same problem. However I am all in for calling him back. He blamed my country for supporting terrorism but all views are useful in their own way. Maybe he can convince us to think differently of the Afghan Taliban. Wish you luck in this endeavor. Do tag the mods and webmaster.

I don't think he is banned, just stopped posting?

Agreed. If there was one afghan that I liked talking to it was @A-Team. He was very realistic in a sense about our issues and although extremely Pro government, he was not emotional like other afghans who start with anti Pakistan rubbish and then finish with "gul khan" before being driven embarrassed. Those losers can't string two sentences together. A-Team made some very logical points and his focus was always inter region peace. I

He did get banned but it seems that after it he simply stopped posting.

Actually, no I'm not in contact with him -- I just found out that he was banned -- I was beginning to worry if he and his family were all right given the recent turmoil there and he moves in the some the circles that have been hit hard.

He is not banned

cool -- glad to hear he is not banned -- hope he is all right.

He is the only Afghan I met who is not chauvinistic about the durand line. As a pashtun this is strange. In most Afghanistan schools Mirwais Hotak, Ahmed Shah Durrani, Shah Shuja and other rulers history is taught. Not that I am saying its bad. Pakistani pashtuns and other Pakistanis should know them too as it is our common Islamic heritage. But in Afghanistan the durand line is painted as a pashtun affair and there is a purposely ingrained image that pashtuns in Pakistan want independence or are unloyal. Daud Khattak unfortunately helps this thinking. I am told not to believe it but I have come across some traitors from our side, if they are not in actuality Afghans posing as Pakistani pashtuns.

I don't think he lives in Afghanistan. Same with most Pakistanis on this forum though the situation is not as bad as in Afghanistan. Afghanistan has internet access only in Kabul with other cities slated to have it. 1 out of every 30+ afghans in Afghanistan has internet only.
