PESHWAWAR: A powerful explosion has been heard on University Road near a restaurant in Peshawar, Geo News quoted police sources as saying Saturday.
Due to blast, shops nearby are under fire

According to police its a car bomb blast.

PESHAWAR: A blast has been occurred near a restaurant at University Road Peshawar, reported ARY NEWS.

The blast hit a building that houses offices of lawyers and other professionals. It was not yet cleared what was the cause of the blast.

Many tenants stuck in the building - as it caught fire after the blast, and later were rescued by the local people and rescuers arrived at the scene soon after the incident.

Police have also cordoned off the area.

It a bomb blast near the KFC, in a plaza known as United Plaza, for the time being only injured casualties being told, dead so far not told as there is fire in the plaza and very thick smoke due to which rescure efforts are being hampered.
