Persian gulf or Arabian gulf?

That is what the definition of 'gulf' defines. On the world map, Iran is considered to be above the Arabian peninsula.

The name of the body of water separating the Arabian Peninsula from the Iranian plateau, historically and most commonly known as the Persian Gulf after the land of Persia (now called Iran), has been disputed by some Arab countries since the 1960s. Rivalry between Persians and Arabs, however, along with the emergence of pan-Arabism and Arab nationalism, has seen the name Arabian Gulf become predominant in most Arab countries. Names beyond these two have also been applied to or proposed for this body of water.

As I said this is Bullocks and it is clearly written by a Persian because that is not true. I have provided sources from books. And all they provide is accusations and wikipedia.

If you actually look at the map, Arab territory or shoreline length is approximately equal to or just as much as Iranian territory or shoreline length that surrounds the gulf water.

As for historical reasons, wasn't it the British that insisted on calling it the "Persian Gulf".?

They only started calling it that by Shah era when US and UK were powering up Iran to be the Gulf Police man and take the pressure off of Israel. So they supported them this way.

Which country owns more water in the gulf?

If we look at single country then it's Iran, but there are 6 Arab nations that share just as much of their shoreline with the Gulf. So the Arab point of view on this is understandable as they like Iran are adjacent to the gulf and have just as much of their shoreline with the Gulf.

because that's also a Fake name and we don't like fakes

Really? I'm sure you know 'Persian' is from English, why not call it Iranian Gulf?
The word itself is quite foreign and synthetic.

Yeah I was going to say it's the colonialist British that insisted on calling it the Persian Gulf, and believe me, I could give a damn about what the British colonialist have to say.

If Iran's legitimacy or claim that due to historical reasons it's called Persian gulf because the British in the 1950's-or later assigned that name, then forget about it.

That's why I call it Middle Eastern Gulf.

Just curious, do Iran have any issues with the name "Gulf of Oman".

I think the name should remain Persian Gulf. Ancient Archemeid empire was a great Naval power also all of the successor empires. Even today, Iranian navy is stronger than all Arab navies.
According to the U.S. Navy it is the Arabian Gulf.
