Even if i want to make a cd/dvd, still i have to first download ubuntu.

than install it on flash drive or cd'dvd.

Try the live CD install option for Fedora Core 13 Faster than Ubuntu download. (I got my ubuntu from a torrent file.) Most options during installing will be similar so it should work out easy.

So i got PC from one of my friend and it has password set up for user account.

Problem, is don;t know the password.

Any way, i can remove that pass and have access to that account. (it has only one account, so it's admin).

First thing you should do is, at the logon screen, press CTRL - ALT - DELETE

It might take you to the Administrator login (if it has been set up). The Admin password MAY be left blank, so just hit enter and see if it lets you through

Once in as admin, then go change your original user account.

If that doesn't work then you'll need to create a Boot up CD, lots of tools mentioned here:

Forgot the Administrator's Password? - Windows Password Recovery - Windows Password Reset

You basically boot from CD, and it gives you some options to reset windows password, takes 5 mins.

Why hit the screen? Not its fault. Hit user or the PC itself...

MKI 30's solutions will work just fine... however incase here is another method which i have used over the years and has worked all the times except when the OS drive is encrypted which is not in your case ..

1) go to Ophcrack
2) Download ISO and burn it on the disc
3) Boot your computer using this DISC and thats it -

This disc will scan through SAM database and go through LM and NTLM hashes (passwords are stored in encrypted form under XP/Vista/7),
and list down all the accounts on your machine will their respective passwords.
The process takes about 20-30 mins depending on the hardware configuration.
