What's new

People assume Muslims hate Hindus in Pakistan, I am living proof that this is not true

I know that some tarces have still remained in Pakistan after changing all Hindu names and killing all indian languages. At the time of independence, many areas were named on Hindu saints, and social reformers. Gujarati was spoken in sindh. All this is been systematically been destroyed. You quote few name of Hindus on some important positions butwe know that a Hindu can never be your PM , President or Army chief.

Anyway i would like it very much if there is no discriminations. However, the hindus who come here and refuse to go back to Pakistan tells the differnt stories.

 if we are killing Indian languages how about you bharotis preserve some if not all?

. .
Pakistani Muslims loves Hindus that's why thousands of Hindus migrating India . What a joke and where minorities reduced to 22% to 2% , still you want to believe in this joke. Lolzz

1. Those who are migrating or migrated were mostly forced by terrorism which is affecting more Pakistani Muslims than Pakistani Hindus.

2. Those migrated to India are living a life of dogs just like low cast Indian Hindus in India

.
How did you derive that interesting figure of 1%? Fact is that Pakistan it self was created out of hatred for hindus. You are talking as if you are the only sane guy and others are fool.

The fact of the matter is, on the contrary Pakistan was created because of the marginalization and disenfranchisement of Muslims from the mainstream, in Government jobs, in education sectors, in every field they were discriminated upon. So this is the reason Pakistan was created, read 'Sachar' committee report about the conditions of Muslims in India, they are as good or as worst as Dalits.

This is the eternal and universal lie quoted more often than not, on every forum, I have read that quote and the percentage, again I would say the factual truth is that most of the Hindus were concentrated in 'East Pakistan' now Bangladesh and its a no brainer that there percentage is low in Pakistan. In Sindh Pakistan there proportionate population is now about 9% of the total population. And also Pakistan was created where there was Muslim population in excess of 80% or so, also their growth rate in Sindh exceeds that of Muslim population, now that is a pleasant surprise, can be Google searched.

If true, it is very good. People and particularly neighbors shold like each other for cordial relations. Infact , each man should like other man.

However, My experience on PDF is totally different. I can sense how Pakistani friends hate indians and Hindu in particular.
Hate for Indians =/ hate for hindus

Biggest lie of century it was 1.6% in 1951 its stil the same .lie repeated a thousand times is still a lie

Good if it is true, but then..why partition happened?

Wrong, one must visit place in Lahore for food (especially karahi lovers) is Butt Karahi in Lakhsmi Chowk, which lies right next to Dyal Singh College. All over Lahore you will find roads like Dhani Ram road, Dev Samaj road et cetera. Just google it.

With regards to killing "all Indian languages", what do you even mean by that? East of the Indus, Pakistanis speak languages belonging to the 'indic' branch of the Indo-European languages, in other words Punjabi, Sindhi et cetera. Further the national language is Urdu, which has roots in the Gangetic plains.

As for given names, Do Muslims or Christians in India use Hindu names? How often do you meet a Christian called Krishna. Obviously Muslims in Pakistan will similarly use Muslim names.

You quote few name of Hindus on some important positions butwe know that a Hindu can never be your PM , President or Army chief.

The experiences of 1947 were traumatic, and the Hindu population of Pakistan decreased dramatically as did the Muslim population of East Punjab. (from around 40-45% in 1947 to around 0.5% today). However the 47 generation is dying or dead and Hindus and Sikhs have now started entering even the Pakistani army as officers. Overall the Hindu community has increased from 1.3% in 1951 to 1.9% in 2010. As more members from minorities attain positions of power so gradually will the state of their communities improve in general. An example of the change that is happening is the restoration of Hindu temples including the Katasraj Temple.

Overall does that mean that no discrimination against Hindus has or is taking place in Pakistan right now? No, not at all. Bigots do exist. However the situation is improving by the year and that is because all Pakistanis do not hate Hindus or other minorities.

This is a myth spread by anti-Pakistan elements that seek to project this country in a constant negative light. Surely, there are problems regarding certain minority groups which needs to be sorted out. Nevertheless, Pakistan is no different in this regard as opposed to any other countries.
But there is much more we need to do for our religious minorities. One thing would be forced conversion and another the blasphemy law. They both stand in the way of Hindus or other religious minorities feeling safe and having all types of laws that make them equal to a muslim.

I respect the Hindus patriotism to Pakistan but you clap with 2 hands. Muslims should acknowledge the sacrifices of Hindus in Pakistan or other minorities and work to create a country that is egalitarian. I wish the Hindus of Pakistan the best and hope they can secure equal rights.

Lets note that by 51 not all Hindu families had moved from Pakistan to India and not all muslim families from India to Pakistan. So this is a reality which is not considered when tallying the fall of Hinduism in Pakistan. My own family moved late from Lucknow so its obvious that figures of movement should be counted after the first few years of partition.

True, I think @RiazHaq has written quite a good piece on the Hindu population of Pakistan and its rise in numbers (http://www.riazhaq.com/2015/06/pakistani-hindu-population-among.html ).

Your experience on this forum will also be the same in Pakistan. It has more to do with your own behavior and that of your countrymen as opposed to Pakistanis on PDF. Most come here to troll and cuss. Don't expect flowers in return.

No doubt about it. The problem with Pakistanis and their inept leadership is the lack of understanding and affection they ought to have for the various minority groups within the country. You are luckily an exception to this rule. Pakistanis are ethnically some of the most diverse people in the world. At times, we don't even get along on ethnic lines. Such as, provinces which occasionally don't get along well with each other. Don't be surprised if at times our minorities are treated in a similar fashion. Although, minorities usually always have to bare the brunt all over the world. Pakistan isn't an exception in this regard. We need to change our behavior for the good though.

Pakistani Hindus and Sikhs are some of the most patriotic people that I have come across. Even more patriotic than most mainstream Pakistanis on this forum. They deserve respect and full recognition. They are Pakistanis and they are our brothers and sisters.

I also agree that the blasphemy law needs revisiting. This ancient British colonial law is abused to settle scores between various groups. This is primitive and shouldn't be allowed to go on. Unfortunately, we have weak and pathetic leadership that doesn't have the brain cells to address the woes of the common man. Whether it is Nawaz Sharif or Zardari, it is all the same garbage. Thankfully, Imran Khan has a much better track record when it comes to speaking up and defending the rights of minorities. Other leaders don't have the skills to unite and celebrate diversity. They are too busy looting and setting up offshore companies.
