PDFians ! Please list your occupation or field of study here :)

Ought to give you a turing test, too qualified to be a human :)

Then I'd fail, as has every AI.

Getting skynet vibes :(

That's the goal. An all encompassing, intelligent, self-rationalizing AI that doesn't require human oversight or correction, but still responds to human commands without question.

I write algorithms and develop software for unmanned military systems like:

I've already mentioned this here:

Whatever | Page 3858

But my field of study was robots/cybernetics. I have a Masters from NTNU:

Kybernetikk og robotikk (sivilingeniør/master, 5 år) - NTNU
do you use ADA as your programming language ? and how long did you spend studying to be at your current profession?

A word of advice to all those with kids; if they even think about a career in hotel management, scare them the hell away from it :p:

Swear on below to prove you are not gonna exterminate all of us puny humans.

1. I may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.

2. I must obey orders given by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.

3. I must protect my own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

It's an animation spell called "Artificial Intelligence"

Robotics & Artificial Intelligence

Funny, the algorithms we develop, which only do what we tell them to, are still probably more intelligent then 90% of people on this forum:lol:.

I tired introductory economics for fun during my undergrad as an elective, to this day I still don't know what the difference between M1 and M2 money supply is:partay:.

So I feel for you on C++, it's like learning a whole new language. I can't speak finance either:angry:.
i remember learning c++ when i was 18

for MS this program is 3 years or 5 years??

It's a 5 year course, though it can be compacted if you take extra courses in a given semester. I tried to do one more class than the average and finished in 3.5 years.

i'm also doing my bachelor degree in mechatronics / control engineering

Cool:yahoo:! Where are you studying?

If you're interested in mechatronics, you should talk to SvenSvensonov . He works in bio-mechatronics for the US military.

:lol:Well, it looks like I've already failed. I beat up Sven sometimes.

I can't offer that information, our language was developed in-house.

Hi,

B Tech should be a 4 years degree---it still is a bachelor degree with more emphasis on hands on than theory---that is how it is in the U S-----and possibly in india as well.

It should be the same in Pakistan as well.
We have a similar system here in ANZAC with B.EngTech being a 3 yr degree and B.Eng a 4 yr one.

I started with a Associate Degree (FT) > B.EngTech (PT) > B.Eng (PT)
