You can protest infront of white house and you won't get shot.
The only problem is that in America, leaders/government will NEVER let the situation deteriorate to the point where people would have to do "dharnas" against government.
In Pakistan, your government sucks. So does your law system. So does your police.
There is no choice. Under such broken system, agitation WILL come..and HAS BEEN going on since decades now.
Well, Pakistan is not America. Pakistan is Pakistan. You can't compare how things work in Pakistan by comparing it to country which claims to be a democracy but is an oligarchy. Every fourth or fifth American believes that their government committed 9/11 in order to establish a new world order, if these Americans wanted to protest their views they would be allowed too, but they wouldn't be allowed to protest in similar ways that the PTI and PAT parties are doing.
Of course the Pakistani government sucks, and of course the law system and police suck over there. But this is exactly WHY Imran Khan and Qadri are leading protests - in order to bring true law and order to Pakistan. If the people don't take a stand now, years from now they will be questioning themselves as to why they did not.
There is no 'deterioration', as you put it. There is only acceptance as to what has to happen for Pakistan to move forward.
As for @orangzaib , you make the most stupid and illogical points I've seen anyone on this forum make. How are you equating Imran Khan to be a terrorist for leading protests against a rigged government, that too while sitting comfortably in America? Do you know the real situation going on in Pakistan? No, you do not. All you're doing is putting forth nonsense arguments in order to try to perceive why these protests are unlawful. And you're failing.
