The western version of Christianity in this modern day of 2018 is a joke. Japan whilst not following an Abrahamic faith has preserved its traditions and avoided the things the west is accepting and exporting nowadays, their society is functioning with far less problems then that of the middle east. Our society of the region having problems will be vulnerable to look for other societies (the west most likely given their openness). You can see it in Iran where they quickly oppose Islam given its Arab roots (their arch enemy historically), those identifying with that anti-Islam movement are quickly pulled to western values which is foreign to their lands and brings its own problems.
