With the creation of Pakistan, we were given the language too. And by the same person who confronted with the majority to give us the independent state but yeah we got problem with the language he chose to be our national language.
Japanese, Dutch etc are their mother tongues.
When a kid starts speakin in germany he hears dutch not Italian.
If language is somehow the reason for your backwardness than urdu will not solve anything.
A child in Lahore hears Panjabi, a child in sibbi speaks Balochi as his first words.
A kid from Kohat speaks Pashto and so on.
If anything we should have a uniform education system. Wanna read urdu? Yeah start that at secondary level.

But yes he should have chosen Persian instead of Urdu. It was a language already spoken and understood by the people. And it had similarities with all the regional languages.
