What's new

Passing out Parade of 141th Long Course e.t.c held at Kakul , 4th April 2020 .

How many countries developed adopting a language from abroad? Zero.

How many countries progressed speaking their own language? Countless

English is a language and should be taken as such. There is a difference in adopting a foreign language and learning one. English should be learned as a language by our masses not adopted . Your post reeks of inferiority complex.

Hi,

How many of those countries have become a nuc power---2.
How many of those countries have built their 4th gen fighter aircraft 2.

One is India---the other is Pakistan.

Then which language would you prefer?

I say this mainly because Urdu is close to Hindi, and I learned to understand Urdu (not speak) through Hindi (although I don't understand it that much) from Bollywood, while at the same time whenever I see talk show hosts or news people speak, they change from Urdu to English back and forth.

English to be mandatory in all schools right from nursery and up + chinese

Both India and Pakistan regularly rank low in social indicators like HDI , Hunger , Education , Research , Health and what not. So you can make all the nuclear bombs you want both countries are still dirt poor and live in hunger.

Ever seen Putin , Xi , Erdogan or angela merkel speak in english? English is a language. Your intellect is not decided by a language.

Read my original posts about the subject matter---. English is for pakistan---. Pakistan is being discussed here not germany or Turkey---.

German have been speaking their language for centuries---same as Turks---. Urdu barely a couple of centuries and that only for a certain group of people---.

If this year's parade is 141st passing out parade of its kind then if it is held on yearly basis that would mean that it would have been started in 1879 by the Angraiz Bahadar.
Parade is held bi-annually.
PMA was established after the creation of Pakistan.

It is not just speaking what matters, Germans have been producing advanced philosophical, scientific and medical theoretical and experimental research literature in the German language for centuries, same is the case with English and French. There is a centuries old basis for their current development and mental level, almost every modern technological novelty and invention is based on the scientific literature produced by Germans, French and English in the last 5 centuries or so. The Chinese so-called "inventions" are just based on copy-paste of Euro-American technology.

Where as in case of our local languages, you find only the BS of poetry during the last 5 centuries which is of no use for the world except some local mofo lovers of poetry.

It's not about the capacity of a language or its ease of practicality.

It's simply about the institution.

There has been no institutional learning despite Sir Syed Ahmed Khan dying peacefully over 150 years ago.

Development cannot happen anywhere unless it's mainstream or for the masses.

People who travel the world and design autonomous systems cannot comeback home to measure the inheritance share by cultural traditional way of measuring the land. It simply won't work with Pakistan, it is a land of farmers and merchants not of slave labor.

Hi,

Absolutely---. Urdu literature got nothing to offer on a scientific scale---.

Hi,

The wheel cannot be re-invented and time cannot be turned back for urdu to catch up---.

Farmers are basically slave labor in pakistan and merchants are extremely corrupt---.

Education will set the farmers free---.

just because its hard for you to pronounce those words don't really mean so.

the whole lifestyle from Urban to Rural in the country is food food food and money money money.

i like to believe it's not Urdus fault at all. its the people who speak Urdu and what they choose to do with it.

there is no language out there which has ready made words for new sciences so if someone has to say 5G in Urdu it does not really is the languages fault.

Education will set the farmers free---.

then stop playing around with minced words and hit the nail right on its head.

now my theory is. if the farmers could speak efficiently the national language, they would liberate themselves sooner rather than later

Urdu is a language borne out of status quo change that must be main streamed to liberate the people.

jis din panchayt or jirgon me Urdu boli jaegi ap log azad hojaoge. usse pehle sayeen daado mushkil ay

Urdu does not have any roots in my culture---I speak it like a native because it happened---urdu has not roots in present pakistan as well other than a certain ethnic group---. It can stay and hang around for as long as it can---. But the only thing it can offer for the better future the nation is going backwards in time---.

It is only good for communication amongst the 4 provinces---.

English cannot even achieve that despite 200 years of colonial history and the great game.

Unless you are saying giving colonialism cultural protection in your roots, i don't see the above mentioned post as one of sound logic and reason.

Hi,

But it has given us a heads up on the world---7th or 8th super power of this world---. Who can beat that---.

You don't see logic because you cannot comprehend or you don't want to comprehend what I have stated---Over & Out.

That's down to nature and abundance of food essentials and a fertile land.

Nothing to do with the ability of narrative selling in the English language.

Stop holding Pakistanis back with these backward ideas if you intend to throw them in war in the same breath.

This is the language which binds whole Muslims of South Asia
In most rural areas kids don’t speak urdu. And one spoken by adults is .... rip.

How do you intend to force urdu on us? Urdu has already done alot of damage to regional languages, some on the verge of extinction.m

Also how do you intend to create scientific words/alternatives when you cant do that with “glass or jug”?

No. It was the Punjabi Establishment. Period!
The “Panjabi establishment” was nowhere in 71.
The bangali language crisis also wasnt due to panjabi.

If anything, I would say Panjabi is one of the most suppressed languages of this country.

Your beloved urdu was imposed on modern day Pakistanis. Before that the lingua franca here was persian.

As for Sir Syed, well I dont hold good views about him. He was an “ashraf/ajmal”, snob.

URDU is a wasteful and a useless language---.

That’s offensive. You are not even picking one aspect to be critique but asserting one language to be wasteful and useless? The problem is our inferiority complex, we promoted English while ignoring our national language.
We made ourselves slave of English language and now you’re promoting Chinese. Problem is not with Urdu but our mindset. How’s Chinese language log used in scientific world?
People who can’t take pride in their language hardly leave an impact or earn any respect in the world.
