I don think this case going anywhere. Its sad to know how corrupt politicians use unfair means to make money from this country and then come up with useless proofs to justify this earning

The floor was given to Hamid Khan but he opted to argue contradictions between statements. Judges had to say we know the contradictions, move on to other stuff. According to Kashif Abbasi one of the judges even referred to a document attached to Maryam's written reply, it contradicted her own statement she made in her reply.

it seems like judges also know that Sharifs are corrupt & want to give verdict against them but bounded by law need evidence/docs to be presented by petitioners in SC. It all depends on PTI legal team now otherwise case is going towards commission !!

Waisay the way our internet users are treating NS family on social media, I believe if only they are allowed to vote in elections (as they represent the literate portion of our population), NS will not be able to win a single seat... Not even from Rae Wind or Chaanga Maanga

Irony is, very few in villages probably know what's going on.. They will just hear the news one day (God forbid) that NS has defeated IK in the court and will start dancing on drums. What a shame.

I wish something happens...and PTI is able to play smart in the next hearing.. I hope they change their legal team, before next hearing, and are able to find some thos saboot, in these days, to the liking of judges..

For God's sake... Can anyone request/suggest/beg Imran khan to hire Aitezaz Ahsan as layer in this case, pleeeassseee?

Aitzaz Ahsan was on channel 24, clearly stating tht now its the onus of SC judges to investigate further.. Pti legal team only had to prove tht these falts were owned by PM family... PM family itself has owned those flats.. Now its upto the judges to ask sharif family for money trail, as its an inquisitorial case... Its not a trial case..... So judges must perform their duty now... Pti has nothing to prove now... What they had to prove, has already been proven... Its not responsibility of PTI to bring saboot....

Now PTI must have a legal mind, like Aitzaz Ahsan, who can present their point forcefully, yet politely to the judges.....

aitzaz ehsan has a legal mind... its sad to see how deranged he is when he bows to zardaris like they are gods. but he is a good lawyer never the less. what he says is his argument. its not binding for the court. he is free to go and lodge another petition . and court is free to accept or reject what ever he says...

It's surprising that a great legal mind such as Hamid Khan has failed soo badly. I don't know what he was thinking, came out as so unprepared.

True... Hamid khan should be fired as soon as possible.. I have always doubted Hamid khan's loyalty to Imran khan.. Even in iftikhar ch time, hamid khan submitted an apology on Imran khan's behalf, which later imran khan said, its not my statement...

I think Imran khan should either elevate Babar Awan or even better, take Aitezaz Ahsan into his legal team, and make him the lead counsel..

But i am disappointed with judges too... They have put the entire burden of proof on PTI, as if Imran khan has all instituitions under him..... Judges should have asked PM family for money trail, today and should have tried to ascertain the authenticity of Qatari prince letter today...but nothing on tht at all, as if it was gospel truth, while proofs provided by PTi were alif laila ki kahani... Strange...

My analysis:

Yesterday was a very sad day for Pakistanis.

The delay was intentional by PTI. Everyone was involved (excluding SC). An offer is being made to PTI, for 2018 elections, in return of losing/ or taking back the case.

The case is so easy for PTI to win that judges knew and reminded PTIs councel several times to focus on the matter and refer to the right evidences. For example, court expected PTIs councel to raise questions on authenticity of Qatari letter and request court to cross question the prince. Court also expected PTIs councel to bring the 1999 judgement of a UK court that shows the loan was secured against London properties. This would have made the Qatari prince's self declaration, a false declaration in front of the court.

All big figures are going to UK to discuss this offer. I don't believe IK will fall into web of such a deceit. In Shaa Allah.

But court says that PTI NEEDS TO PROVE BLACK MONEY WAS EARNED AND TRANSFERRED TO BUY THE FLATS, they are not concerned with who owned what at what time... Strange courts of strange rulers of Pakistan...

Court job is to govern based on the concrete evidence. It is not court job to judge the client personally. Otherwise, it will be bias. That's why the court has to remain neutral.

I have said it all long. You need to concrete evidence. Of course, PMLN story was gonna check it out. If Qatar confirmed it is true, then that is it. Since the defendant had been accused, then it is only fair that the prosecutors have to provide the concrete evidence to validate its stand prior to the making accusation against the defendant.

One simply can't convict Sharifs in Pakistan, period! Whether a commission or same larger bench, the verdict remains the same and that is a clean chit.

Are you suggesting the ruling should be based on emotional rhetoric instead of concrete evidence?

Forget that it is Nawaz Sharif, and pretend it is someone else. How do you decide the defendant is guilty or innocent? We don't know that person. The only way to prove that accused defendant is guilty based on the concrete evidence.

if the prosecutors fail to provide the evidence, then it is only fair why 'innocent until proven guilty' should be applied to give the benefits of doubt to the accused party.

That's how the whole worlds work, not just the system in Pakistan. Unfortunately, Imranistan seem to be living in cuckoo land to think that the court will base its ruling based on the protocol 'presume guilty until proven innocent'.
