As I am 10000% with you whenever we (read ashrafiya) say "quami mafaad" that's we (read awaam) went down the drain as a qaum.

It never happened that mulki/ qaumi mafaad EVER translated into awaami mafaad. Which is an irony - that all other countries' mulki / qaumi mafaad are intertwined with benefit of awaam- but it's not the case with our country.

True..unfortunately...in Pakistan's context.....whenever the term national interest is mentioned... Be warned/alarmed tht another NRO is about to take place..... Apparently for our instituitions and our elite...NRO is the only national interest tht must be protected at all costs.. Everything else comes secondary to it..

Justice Khosa will be there...tu sahi beizzati honay walai hai Chairman NAB ki.. Kal tu waisy admissibility decide hogi... Uske baad Justice Khosa v/s Chairman NAB Maza aayega

I am watching Dr Shahid Masood's prog right now...and he says ...tht establishment aur PPP leadership ke darmyaan phir se contacts huay hain..jo bilkol khatam hogaye thay during Gen Raheel Sharif's time........and now u can notice ...teh change in Asif Zardari's style and speeches recently... He is much more composed now, and is talking abt global politics too... Waisy tu shayad main yaqeen na karti Dr Shahid ki baat par...lekin seeeing our current army leadership....it is very much possible...

Now i am worried abt Karachi..... Rangers operation has lost its steam and no hi profile arrest has been made since Gen Bajwa became COAS.... Main Dr Shahid Masood ki PPP aur establishment ke contacts par shayad yaqeen na karti...lekin aaj kal jo horaha hai.....us main ye itna unbelievable nahi hai.... I am unable to understand why is Gen bajwa reversing all gains made in Gen Raheel Sharif's era? Zardari was cornered in Gen Raheel sharif's era, thanks to karachi operation and now he is again being made relevant.. WHY?????Peace came to karachi as result of tht operation.. MQ was cornered... Strike culture ended... Only karachiites can truly appreciate the effects of tht operation... But now karachi operation has lost all its steam.. No high profile arrest amde, since he became COAS..and those arrested during Gen Raheel Sharif's time...have been given relief now.. Why?? I am afraid ke MQM ko bhi dobara space na mil jaye..

What was the significance of first Dawn Leaks? To malign PA, yes?

This masterplan leak will be used by the snakes and enemies to sabotage CPEC. They will create so much negative hype and try to turn public opinion against it. Read Dawn's article and look at the cartoons - it oozes negativity.

All this is foreign sponsored and backed, by our enemies and Nawaz is willingly being used.

i think we are creating too much hype in regards to CPEC. With everything that has been going on recently, i am not as optimistic about CPEC being a game changer especially when no one actually knows the full detail of CPEC and how much Pakistan is going to make and how many jobs will it make for Pakistanis.

Nothing is going to happen to GODFATHER, he is too powerful, he will walk free from this case, just like Dawn leaks part 1. There is no hope for justice in Pakistan.

i agree, i too don't think anything will happen and NS will be a free man soon, and so will Kalbushan Yadev

You are right yo an extent tht he didnt finish... But atleast he took some very good initiatives in the country for peace...esp karachi operation and balochistan... Just look...at the pace of and activities of Rangers in karachi when Gen Raheel was COAS, and now when Gen Qamar Bajwa is COAS? Could any one imagine..tht there could be a raid on 90? It was a very bold step.. Uske baad se hi strikes ka culture khatam hona shuru hua... Only a karachiitte can appreciate the effects of karachi operation during Gen Raheel Sharif's era... Strike khatam hogayeen bilkol.. MQM was cornered..

Then Rangers arrested Dr Asim which was another very bold step... Yes... He couldnt be convicted...but then Gen Raheel wasnt sitting sitting in court rooms... He could do only as much.. During his time, situation got much better in Balochistan too

Atleast intent of Gen Raheel Sharif was very clear... He frequently talked abt nexus betwen coruption and terrorism.. What I mean to say is...tht atleast his intent was very clear..on corruption, terrorism... He took some bold initiatives too.. But yes couldnt finish them.. But how much could you do in 3 yrs? Atleast he made his intentions clear.. You could see, fear in some politicians and corrupt elements faces, then... And now look..how relaxed they are, since he has gone... Within framework democracy Gen Raheel did ..as much as he could..and took some very bold steps..which were otherwise unimaginable.. Atleast Gen Raheel made it very clear tht he HAS problems with corruption

People here know...tht I was much critical of Gen Raheel Sharif during his last days..and have talked many times on this....tht he should have been more strict on dawn leaks.. But then what happened now..on dawn leaks......Gen Raheel looks like an angel now....

Have you ever heard...Gen Bajwa talk even once abt nexus between corruption and terrorism? Give me, one initiative tht he took? Rangers came in punjab..but WITHOUT any powers.... It can do operations in punjab, only in aid pf punjab police, lollll....meaning no powers at all, loll.. Has there been anyone hi profile arrest in Pakistan since Gen Bajwa became COAS?

And to top it all..now there are news of contacts between establishment and Zardari.. Now I am afraid , tht what if gains of Gen Raheel Sharif's era are reversed? I was also critical of Gen Raheel, but now he looks like MUCH MUCH better

Agreed, Gen Raheel Sharif could have done more, but there is no reason to compare him to Musharraf! They were two completely different generals. No general has commanded more respect than RS in this country.

There is a thread opened recently to list down the accomplishments of General Qamar Bajwa. I think you can list reversal of accomplishments achieved by the previous leadership.

I don't have an iota of doubt about the previous leadership. You know me, when I say leadership, I include corps commanders and other Lt. generals in it.

I don't believe that the strategic objectives are changed with the change in leadership. Tactical goals or operational policies may change with the change in leadership, and that's where we criticize the chief, when in our opinion, we see tactical or operational policies appear to be harming rather than consolidating the gains made by the previous leadership. Army chief's role in defining the operational policies is much more than in the strategic ones. So yes, his actions till now are not impressive. In my opinion, these actions do not seem to achieve the objectives effectively and efficiently. If I am allowed to say it clearly, the previous Army chief thought that all culprits in the Dawn Leaks should be identified and reported to the nation in the interest of national security no matter what happens afterwards, and the current Army chief thinks that national security will be compromised after bringing the name of the real culprit due to many other reasons, I doubt the judgement of current General more than the previous one, however, I don't doubt the intentions of both.

Current general must remember that an extremely similar case happened in the era of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) when a lady of an influential tribe was caught for stealing and the Prophet (SAW) was advised to let her go, and Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said these historic words:

تم سے پہلے کی قومیں اسی لئے برباد ہوگئیں کہ جب کوئی بڑا آدمی جرم کرتا تو اس کو چھوڑ دیتے اور جب معمولی آدمی جرم کرتا تو وہ سزا پاتا۔ خدا کی قسم اگر محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی بیٹی فاطمہ رضہ بھی چوری کرتی تو اس کے ہاتھ بھی کاٹے جاتے۔​

So if Gen Qamar Bajwa thinks that his policies will get him better results, he has seriously gone off track. When Prophet (SAW) made it clear that even his (SAW) daughter (RA) would have been punished, there is no one on this planet who can enjoy any type of concession when it comes to application of laws. Aur Baji tou aakhri aurat honi chahiey kisi bhi concession ke liey.

Previous Army chief's policies yielded better results. His aggressive posture was, and still is the need of time in my opinion. Although I doubt he would have punished baji, had he been still there, but at least she would have been identified as a culprit.

I am again saying, I am not doubting the intentions of Gen Bajwa. In his opinion, he might be handling the things in the right manner, but according to recent Gallup Survey, at least 64% population does not think like him.

General RS's policies ke kia hi kehnay, he changed the perception of the nation about Army completely. For the first time in my life, I started thinking that we would be successful as a nation, Army would still be on the driving seat even if they didn't takeover. And I thought the the next chief will follow his footsteps after seeing the huge success and the respect his predecessor has earned.
