A person is either corrupt or honest.. There is nothing in between.

Some people do corruption for money, some for positions, and some for the peace for their families.

If we think that JIT members can't do anything because they have to fear for their unfavorable transfers/ postings later on, they are corrupt.

They have been given a task to perform, they will have to perform. Either they should do it or leave the job, unless they also believe like our chief that giving concessions is in the greater benefit of our country.

In my opinion, JIT guys are fearless. They are performing their duties in the right manner, and moving in the right direction. A lot has already been said about the judges who made them scapegoats for whatever reason, but it is in their (JIT members') hands to either fight, or leave.

There are many other factors to consider that just kill the stupid reasoning of not performing and bowing down to the pressure from superiors. A couple of such factors are:

1 - They have to work on 13 questions, so don't have to apply their own strategy.. just have to do what SC asks them to do.
2 - They don't have to declare anyone honest or corrupt. They will present their responses on the "thirteen" questions to monitoring bench.

Above two are enough to address their concerns (although there shouldn't be any concerns in the first place, even if they had to work on their own..

If they think that they will face consequences, then first of all this thinking is wrong and doesn't justify. It is the bench that will have to face the monster in the end.

The justification of them not performing due to pressure is just flawed. There are many others like them who are enjoying their life, and the respect they have earned. And no one could ever harm them.

Institutions are corrupt to the core, no doubt about it. Godfather and Mr. 10% have done a lot of damage. But these guys have been chosen as the best ones. The corrupt ones have already been sent back by the bench.

Now either they will maintain the respect and good name they have earned throughout their exceptional careers, or they will lose all..

There is still time to either apply medical leave, or tell the bench they can't do it (just like chairman NAB told the court).

No justification.. and there can't be any..

I just wants to see for how long the system and country could run like this, somebody has to step in at some stage sooner or later, it would be better for the country and system if that "sombody" is judiciary.

Main nikla tha bahar, 2013 main i voted for best available option lekin nateja kia nikla badtareen dhandli or Jahalat ki bunyaad pe dalay gaye votes ke natejay main PML-N or PPP ka azaab hum pe musalat huwa jo abhi tak jaari hai.

My biggest fears are "what if Judiciary IS part of the system?"

Judiciary on a whole, IS part of the same system..except a very few judges who are ready to challenge ths status quo....otherwise... This sustem suits everyone...

Coming few years will be interesting as far as role pf judiciary is concerned, as far as challenging the status quo is concerned... Justice Khosa and Justice Gulzar are the next two chief justices.. Lets see....how much they are able to deliver? Justice Khosa is not only a man of integrity and courage but he is a person of very high intellect... The model criminal justice system in Punjab introduced recently..was his idea..... So good thing is..tht he understands the importance of the need for speedy justice in the country, and is ready to implement, innovative solutions for it.. His time as CJ will surely be very interesting period... Athough he will be CJ for only 11 months.. But hopefully Justice Gulzar will carry forward the good and innovative steps taken by him..

Syria, Yemen and Iraq were very extreme cases. Pakistan, possessing nuclear weapons, will not be allowed to fail. So, should things turn to mayhem, it will occur with a Cuban Revolution style, and will end the same way.

Could be or couldn't be, hopefully the military wont let that happen, threats are too many and they r from outside as well as inside but the most dangerous one's are from inside, i hope the military is ware of those threats.

Justice Mansoor Ali Shah (CJ of LHC) is one more judge, who I have great amount of respect for..

The chief justice of all (employees)

LAHORE: Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court not only keeps his doors open for all of his employees, but also does not waste an opportunity to be part of their happiness or sorrow.

Last week, the CJ attended a farewell ceremony organised for the retirement of a janitor of the LHC. Speaking at the ceremony, Chief Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah had remarked that from janitor to high grade officers, all employees of the LHC were an asset of the judiciary.

Addressing the farewell ceremony of head of sanitary staff Younas Masih aka Bab Bangali, the CJ said Bangali was an asset for the LHC and he valued and respected all employees, regardless of their grade.

The sanitary staff of the LHC was present at the ceremony, besides LHC registrar Syed Khurshid Anwar Rizvi, district judiciary DG Akmal Khan, secretary to CJ Shahid Shafi and senior additional registrar Ataur Rehman.

Participating in the farewell party, the CJ announced that on retirement of any official or officer of the LHC, the official vehicle of the court would give drop to that officer to his house as a token of love for his/her services.

Paying tribute to Bangali, the CJ said people who render their services for the LHC deserve high respect. He said he always saw Bangali working with devotion and responsibility. Justice Shah also gave Bangali a shield and a bouquet. It was the first ceremony of the retirement of a janitor which was attended by a serving chief justice.

The LHC CJ also organised a ceremony to share celebrations of Christmas with LHC employees on December 25 last year. He invited the then-designate Chief Justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar who attended the special Christmas ceremony at the Lahore High Court and greeted the Christian community.

Justice Shah, other judges of the LHC, emeritus Bishop of Lahore Alexander John Malik and Lahore Cathedral Dean Shahid P Mehraj were also invited to the ceremony. About 80 Christian employees of the LHC participated in the ceremony.

The CJ said every employee of the LHC was equal for him. He thanked Bangali Baba for giving him a gold ring at that time. Minority employees of the LHC said they have gained confidence with the goodwill gesture of the CJ and it was very encouraging for them that a chief justice attended the farewell ceremony of a low-grade staff.

All we can do is hope and pray. Allah will get that 'somebody' to do whatever is deemed when the time for it reaches. Whether it is Judiciary or PA ... choice is in their hands for a limited time only. After that it will be somebody from outside and that'll be bloody.
