Waisy do u have any knowledge abt reputation of officers in JIT?

I do not personally (directly or indirectly) know any of the JIT members: the ones I could get info from my sources in Pak is that they are upright officers with good reputation - that's a good start.

Having said that, there is firm belief in bureaucracy that once this JIT completes its term; these officers will still be in same FIA, SECP, NAB which operate with super direct intervention of sitting Govt., and this sitting Government just recently sacrificed Rao Tehseen to give a strong message that a Grade 21 officer can be kicked out through a notification which nobody knows who authorized and which was also challenged by none other than sitting Intetior Minister - but what happened?

It will take humongous courage for an officer to go against 90-95% of his own fraternity including Chaimen as well taking on sitting Government and on top of that face the wrath of most likely next Federal and several future provincial govts in Punjab.

Out of 5 judges; only two went against N$, and three hope JIT members will bail them out.

It will become clear in 15 days - however if anything can be predicted based on the trajectory, tone and tenor of the head of the bench. He seems to be sticking to his guns and have upped the ante by calling politicians as "liars" who inferred N$ as liar after the verdict.

Has unfulfilled promise to Ch. Iftikhar been repackaged and offered again will be known for sure in 2018.

You are right.. This is the reason, I want members in JIT, to not only be honest but bold and courageous.... But as you rightly pointed out..JIT members will also think ke SC ne apni museebat humaray galay daal di hai.. They will also think that SC judges who dont owe their career or elevation to the govt, couldnt gather the courage to disqulify NS, are now expecting us to provide all the evidence to disqualify NS.....is it worth the risk? Ok..if they are honest..they might not attest forged or fake documents provided by sharif family...but will they go out of the way..to collect evidence against them?? This is the most important question
Abt MI and ISI officials...they are the same ones who were in dawn leaks committee too..and as per media reports, Maryam Nawaz's name is removed from dawn leaks report.....still waiting for dawn leaks notification and report.. Lets see what happens there.. It will give us an idea

As for courage...I think tht even Justice Ijazul Ahsan is an honest person..but he couldnt muster up the courage to give the decision, tht dissenting judges gave, although his verdict, as i have heard is more similar to Justice Khosa and Gulzar's than majority verdict.. I dont doubt his intentions, but he lacked the courage to disqualify PM..

Abt advocate and pakora judge, the less said the better..

I am just hoping against hope...tht JIT members are noy only honest, but bold and courageous too...like the dissenting judges...

They looked best of the best of their trades. Senior officers, the country's top court picked to probe the Sharifs' family in Panama Leaks case on Friday, have an impressive career path and credentials, their profile suggested.

Our correspondent spoke to their friends and family members in an effort to know their profile soon after the Supreme Court announced names of Joint Investigate Team (JIT) to probe the Prime Minister and his children in the Leaks case.

He has also served in Motorway Police and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police as well. He has a clean career and proved his credentials showed he never compromised on professional matters.

Presently, Zia is the Additional Director General (Immigration) FIA. He belongs to Tehsil Murree of District Rawalpindi.

He is also currently serving a Managing Director of the National Institute of Banking and Finance in Islamabad.

Bilal Rasool
Executive Director Communication Bilal Rasool of Security Exchange Commission of Pakistan is Chevening scholar and studied economics and finance at University of Leads in the United Kingdom in 1995.

He joined SECP as a young officer some 24 years ago after completing his master at Quaid-e-Azam University. He also did a course from the United State in anti-money laundering in 2003.

He can speak Arabic fluently and investigated Mudaraba case in 2007 where he has been facing many threats from certain elements.

He is also father of first ever anti-money laundering ordinance and headed SECP anti-money laundering cell accordingly.

Irfan Naeem Mangi
Irfan Naeem Mangi, who is representing National Accountability Bureau, has 14 year’s experience of investigation in financial corruption.

He studied at the National Defence University and joined NAB in 2003. As a member of JIT Mr Mangi, (BS-20), has been investigating major projects namely the Saindak copper-cum-gold project and Balochistan Copper case in particular.

Brig. Muhammad Nauman Saeed
Brig. Nauman Saeed who is representing Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) in JIT fought the war against militants in Khar and Bajaur Agency. He was part of an operation named Lionheart against Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and al-Qaeda fighters in Bajaur, a mountainous area bordering Afghanistan in 2008-09.

As a commander, Mr Saeed led his men on a two-year campaign to drive out thousands of TTP militants from the area. He was awarded Sitara-i-Basalat in 2009 by the government.

Brig. Kamran Khurshid
Brig. Kamran Khurshid who is representing Military Intelligence in JIT is season officer who also was a part of a crucial meeting between Border Security Force, India and Pakistan Rangers held at JCP Attari in December 2007.

Sirf honest hona kaafi nahi.. Kia bold aur daring bhi hian?

Ab in judges ko hi dekh lein.. I think Justice Ijazul Ahsan is also an honest person...but woh shayad itnay ziada daring nahi thay, dissenting judges ki tarah.. Although ke mujhe Justice Ijazul Ahsanki neeyat par bilkol shak nahi hai..

So, I hope, ke JIT main jo members hain, woh honest honay ke saath saath daring bhi hon

watch from 2:44 & 7:15, Haroon Rasheed says about Amir Aziz(state bank) k wo bohot 'sakht' admi hain & also give details about others !!

i also didn't get it why Justice Ijazul Ahsan didn't disqualify nawaz in first place ..... chalain dekhtay hain 60 din baad kiya hota hai, aik dafa phir intezar !!

If any of the 4 civilian agencies' member in JIT brings the truth out; he has to be more courageous than Justice Khosa and Justice Gulzar.

It would be extremely hard for that person to survive in Pakistan - he would already know that his career/future will be finished with one stroke of pen of Fawad Hassan Fawad types, if he brings the truth out.

MI & ISI can play on a very different trajectory in this investigation as we all know how, when, why and by who the compromise was made in Dawn leaks - N$'s lifeline hangs in balance again with future choices could be:

1. More toothless than today
2. Losing future chance and also being discredited

I think he'll choose option # 1, as in that at least he can expand his family's wealth.

You are right.. Any civilian official, who, if brings the truth out, will have to be even more courageous than the two dissenting judges.. But there have been few officials in the past..who were daring and courageous.and defied orders... Lets see ..if we have any such ppl in this JIT too?
Hoping tht ISI and MI officials will play a fair and transparent role here, as was promised by ISPR press release
I am most interested to know abt Wajid Zia, head of the JIT.. Is he a daring man? Its reported tht He was part of BB murder investigation team, but tht case is still inconclusive yet...

Wow - freedom of speech - Dunya TV censored the name of Maryam Nawaz Sharif (when Haroon Rasheed mentioned Maryam's name) to avoid wrath of PEMRA.

Salute to fledging democracy in which the name of citizen of Pakistan (without any portfolio or official position) cannot be aired.

Ansar Abbasi has logic, weight and precedence to back his pov.
