What SC needs to make sure of is that chairman NAB is not overseeing the case, they can't force NAB to appeal Hudaibya but they can at least force honest people in NAB to look at Nawaz family cases and decide on merit.

@PakSword Come on friend, let's not get disheartened at this stage. We have already achieved what was once thought impossible: A decision against most powerful mafia in the country.

SC knows it is on trial as well, they can't simply allow PMLN's allegations against them to take hold in public consciousness. Right now SC has the biggest stake in making sure this case is followed through on merit.

I dont want him to go tomorrow.. Pata nahi.. NAB ..Mian Sb ke statement ko twist kar ke...apni taraf se jhooti sachi baatein banaa kar acquit karnay ki tayyari shuru kar dey abhi se... NS na hi jaaye tu behtar hai....i hope NAB main kisi tarah ki bhi koi progress na ho, jab tak ke monitoring proceedings na hon...

Abhi ARY par ticker chal raha hai, quoting sources ke NAB hudaibya case reopen nahi karrahi aur is baaray main NAB apna version, 24th August ko SC main dey gi.. Ye 24th August ki date kahan se aayi? Abhi tak tu monitoring judge ki proceedings ki date nahi aayi... Ye 24th ko kia hona hai? Iska matlab kia yeh hai ke 24th ko monitoring judge ki hearing hogi? Lekin abhi tak tu SC se aisi koi press release aayi nahi .... Pata nahi..ARY ye jo sources se quote karraha hai ke NAB 24th ko version dey ga, yeh theke bhi hai ya nahi?

Waisy mujhe tu lagta hai ke agar 24th august date hai, tu ye bhi bhtt late hai.. Its thursday next week ... Next week ki shuru main hi honi chahye ye hearing.. Agar ye date theek hai...tu phir iska matlab ke monitoring judge ka NAB investigations ko JIT ki tarah monitor karnay ka koi iraada nahi hai.. Hm samajh rahay thay ke shayad monitoring judge..NAB ke officers ko bhi khud select karein...lekin aisa hota nazar nahi aaraha..

Judge who ousted Sharif praises implementing SC verdict

ISLAMABAD: One of the judges who was part of the Supreme Court bench that disqualified Nawaz Sharif last month has lauded the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) for implementing the verdict as well as appointing a new premier through democratic and constitutional means.

Justice Asif Saeed Khosa, senior most judge comprising the five-member bench, praised PML-N during a recent event held a week ago. The function was organised by the Supreme Court Bar Association’s Quetta chapter in the bar room.

While the remarks were not reported earlier since media was not invited to cover the August 10 event, at least three senior lawyers who were present at the reception in the provincial capital confirmed to The Express Tribune that Justice Khosa had indeed commended the party.

According to senior lawyer Munir Kakar, Justice Khosa appreciated the government for implementing the decision in the shape of an in-house change and smooth functioning of the democratic system.

Khosa went on to add that rule of law and supremacy of constitution will be best in the national interest.

Further, senior lawyer Kamran Murtaza also said Justice Khosa had expressed satisfaction that occurrences following the verdict were in accordance with the law and constitution.

Justice Khosa was part of the bench that declared in the April 20 verdict that Nawaz Sharif was not honest with the nation and the court. Likewise, his “Godfather” remarks during the proceedings of the case are still being quoted in the media.

I think it is being miss quoted ... everyone will say that in house change is good and in actual rejection of nawaz by people is a good occurence ... most of the senior leaders did not supported NS in his rally so probably the context might be entierly different ...

Pata nahi.. I hope he is being misquoted but more than one lawyer quoted him, so i am surprised..esp on the statement tht occurences following verdict are in accordance with law and constituition. . NS jo roz judges ko bura bhala kehta hai...we were hoping ke is par tu contempt lagay gi..contempt na bhi lagay lekin ...yahan tu (as per this article) Justice Khosa is praising PML N..

New PM tu aana hi tha.. Nwaz Sharif, SC decision ke baad tu PM reh hi nahi sakta tha....
