Panama Case - Post Verdict Discussion and Updates

The forum is what YOU make it!
:)
Better than some other places/forums i have been to, you know!

This forum is the sum total of the efforts of many, for better or worse.

Back to the topic, the role of the Supreme Court in rubber stamping miscarriages of justice imposed upon the nation by supralegal authority continues unabated, as shown by the present saga.

True! But still some people do try much harder than others so . . .

Of course monkeys fly, specially in South Asia.

How many past decisions of the Supreme Court forced under contrived circumstances were later shown to be detrimental to the country? The same will be the case here, undoubtedly.

I can only work within the confines of what fragile egos impose here. :D
Bo ho

The only miscarriage of justice in this panama fiasco was the soft handed approach towards Sharif family other than that everything was done according to law
Betting is fine, breaking the legs of all competitors to force a win by a lame horse, no matter how preferred, is not.
Yes we all know the right policy is to ignore corruption cases and jail people for blasphemy against sharif family :agree:

Exactly what I try to do by creating an opposing view that is necessary for a good discussion. ;)
Opposing view is one (and also a good thing) but spreading pessimism in every thing is another.
The forum is what YOU make it!
Exactly and constant negativity ain't gonna help the cause.

The horses legs shouldn't only be broken but thrown out of the race if they are proven to be using illegal steriods/drugs and involved in rigging the entire race - through illegal money, corruption, terrorisim, threats and intimidation - all of which gave them an unfair advantage on other law abiding horses and made the whole race a facade to fool the public. The public may love these horses, which they naturally would as they have been the stars for so many years, but their victories were mainly possible because of the unfair advantages they had and lack of any rule of law to catch their corruption; all horses should be provided a level playing field and the illegal means and advantages should be taken away - which as listed before includes money earned through corruption, terrorisim etc. If after taking away their unfair advantages and illegal resources the same horses win then that is fair and awards should be provided, but that victory would still not vindicate them from the illegal means they used to employ in the past and certainly doesn't justify their past corrupt practices.

Is that why judges and generals are exempt from the same accountability process they wish to apply to the politicians?

sharifs will make a big issue out of this

and where has it got them so far? all failed attempts of screaming and shouting ... same will be repeated

Yeah we all know how good ALTERNATIVE FACTS are for a healthy political discussion

Ignore the fassadi who comes with his alternative facts to shoot down Pakistan at every given opportunity - that's his assignment.

Where were the likes of your POV you present here when your so called makers and breakers were nurturing an utter ignoramus and witless of an imbecile as Nawaz to somehow make a half @ed politician out of him as an anti Bhutto choice in the first place? Why cry now when the system has turned on him to show his real colours instead of his artificially crafted legacy? Why the blame game now when the tide of time and events has turned against the corrupt?

Easy to throwaway blames on an entity looking to wash off the filth of its work from its very sleeves.

Time to move on and leave the stagnant stench of a morbid politician's horde and his putrid legacy to the dustbin of history.

NS won the last election. The proper way to remove him is by the next elections, not by a manufactured judicial soft coup.

All in good time. It is inevitable that the demand of accountability from those with credibility shall have its practical effects on the very same, one step at a time.

LOL. In "good time", just like "elections in 90 days". Yeah, very believable. :D

I will believe if it ever happens.
