Comments to watch by Ghani sab ... article here, excerpts below:

Speaking to the Indian media, Afghanistan president Ashraf Ghani said: “There is war in Pakistan which media doesn't speak about, there are 207,000 Pak forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. This violence needs coverage and understanding and needs to be stopped.” When asked if Afghanistan would support an independent Balochistan, he said: “We don't use our territory for destabilisation. We don’t permit our territory to be used against our neighbours & behave like a responsible state even though we're under attack.

...

He added: "Pak is a revisionist state, every defeat is celebrated as victory; every intelligence failure is confirmation of a conspiracy theory."
Is he a joker if Afghanistan is in very very good security condition than why Afghan refugees are reluctant to go back to Afghanistan

He should come to pakista N we will ask him few questions he can't answer

What the pain he has on balouchistan it is part of Pakistan it will remain Pakistan

Today india is adding you because of Pakistan if there is no Pakistan this very modi kick you so hard on butt you can't sit on chair *** hole basterd

If 7.2 million Mujahirs from India can live in Pakistan, why can't 1.5 million Afghan mujahirs live in Pakistan. Which chaudhary will decide who will live where ?

KP belongs to Afghans, no one can force them out: Mahmood Achakzai

It seems people have closed their hearts, same thing happened Joseph and Mariam.

Mahmood Achakzai should be hanged by his intestines for his treasonous views, don't worry his time will come soon. Those 7.2 million Mujahirs supported the creation of Pakistan, the 1.5 million Afghan's didn't, even though we fed, sheltered and clothed them from the goodness of our hearts. In return they have the audacity to badmouth about Pakistan, so now we are going to teach them a lesson. As soon as the refugees are sent back next year, the Afghan economy and state will collapse. The Government of Pakistan and our Constitution decides who will live where. If you are so concerned then take these ungrateful people to India, nobody is stopping you. Why can't the Bangladeshi people live in Bengal and why is your politicians crying that a mass migration is happening?

Ghani sab is not stupid -- he has thought this through carefully

None of his actions seem to make sense -- perhaps the next three or four months will reveal what he's thinking about.

The only thing that seems to make sense is that he's trying to forge unity at home on the single thing that unifies Afghans: hatred of Pakistan.

NUG dysfunctional
Taliban/ANSF: Bad -- loosing territory
Donor situation: Declining
Economy: Bad
Relationship with Pakistan: Bad
Corruption: Bad: latest report still 3rd most corrupt country

So what is Ghani sab thinking? -- he must have charted a path forward
he will only follow a path which is given to him by modi. just to divert the attention of the international media away from kashmir and to keep pressure on pakistan.

So, Mahmood Achakzai should be killed because he has sympathies for Afghans ? When being sympathetic to people of same ethnicity became a crime. It is natural human behavior. Government cannot dictate terms to people of KPK.

Yep it seems he is not only trying to unify Afghanistan but also please India. The one billion was much less as compared to what was thought was about to be given. He needs to do this so that not only his power stays ( his nation stays united against a common enemy) but also India remains happy.

I think there is frustration involved. When we closed Chapman, there was a lot of hubbub and talks in Afghanistan however when they close central Asia route they were expected something of the same level but it never came. We were jot even effected but also not bothered. The card ghani played failed completely and this must have added to a massive frustration block considering how emotional leaders of Afghanistan.

So the situation in Afghanistan is that 1/3rd is under Taliban control. Apart from the provincial capital the ANA struggles to hold ground and only in capital do they hold ground bcz of the US air strikes. The US doesn't interfere elsewhere and the ANA themselves arm the Taliban by retreats, gifts and selling the equipment. Kpk and Baluchistan are far better and have a far better future than Afghanistan.

The army is only on fata whilst kpk and Baluchistan is run by their provincial police and Baluchistan for security has FC which is raised by kpk and Baluchistan.

It is becoming all the note imperative that we seal the borders and kick out the refugees. They are a massive security risk and they can't be trusted.

Mahmood Achazai should be hanged for questioning the existence of Pakistan in Parliament. People of KPK overwhelmingly support the Government of Pakistan and it's policies. Mahmood Achazai and his family have always held anti-Pakistan sentiments, so he doesn't represent the people of FATA or KPK.

bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

BTW I am from KPK and I am dooooooooooooooooomeeeeeeeeeeeedddd geeeeeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzzz thousands of smart and handsome forces in KpK as per Mr. Ghhaaaaaaaaaaa niiiiiiiiiiiiii

I think its something to do with drinking water in india ................ otherwise such ignorant stupid statements don't make sense.

How on Earth making statements about internal matters of Pakistan should be any concern of kabul, unless they are trying to please the master.

Disappointed me, I thought he was better than that Bangali information minister but who knew ................... but then again being president of kabul is not an easy job I think. And as far as provoking GHQ matters it would cost more afghan generals their lives. Pakistan has one single problem with kabul "don't allow our eternal enemy space in your country" but God knows why these ghanis and dostams are hell bent on not listening to the sane voices.

I would give Ghani sab far more credit than that -- out of all the Afghan establishment,he's someone who is not stupid. He may or may not have a soft spot for Pakistan (I would argue not) but he is no fool

@pakistani342 confirmed its really something to do with drinking water in india ............. my bad I thought ghani was stupid.

:-) -- I think sometimes our Indian brothers like to poke Pakistanis in the ribs -- lol

Alright tell us your analysis. You know how these Afghan officials work and you have followed ghani as well as those that hold true power.

How would you analyze this statement. He is antagonizing pakistan and kpk and Baluchistan. How would this profit Afghanistan especially when pakistan is already skeptical of the refugees due to the actions of the state.

Could pleasing India really be worth making your next door neighbour with whom you share such a large and porous border, your enemy?

The interesting part is that he didn't say he supported independence bcz supporting separatism in pakistan would mean giving up areas that the baluch nation on his side has and also antagonizing another neighbour called Iran who gas sistan which these terrorist separatists claim. He clearly stated that he doesn't interfere in the affairs of other nation after making an interfering statement.

This would see the afpak relations reaching lows. Maybe the noneffect of the central Asia threat and closure has frustrated him more.

How would you analyze this statement?

What could be his reason to speak like this other than uniting a nation fractured on ethnic lines .He has to do this to prevent civil war scenario in case NUG failed. They can not even decide on there ID card due to this issues. For a simple reason CEO CEO is opposing the deal with Himkatyar as he is of the strong Pashtun influential. How would he feels if someone from Pakistan says that Uzbek,Tajiks and hazarz are oppressed. They don't want to leave them but want Pakistan Pashtuns to leave and join minority in Afghanistan.
Might be he is frustrated as donors and other allied speaking of corruption so the easy way out to put blame on Pakistan. As somebody says every body is responsible for issues in Afghanistan other than Aghans himself.
What do you think of his possible intention ?

He is confused and lost. At one hand he so blatantly mention KPK and Balochistan amounting to interfering in Pakistan's internal matters, and on the other he says

Why are we so concerned that a country (Pakistan) can block two great nations (India-Afghanistan) from trade? Let’s organise it then, let’s put the logistics in place. Anyway, Chabahar will end the monopoly,”

If you are not concerned about a country then you won't mention anything at all. But what we see these days is CPEC in the morning, in the evening, in China, at any place on Earth.

I have said it before and I will say again, kabul isn't doing its people any favor by opting this route, the only losers in this conflict would be kabul and its residents.

With lies? Distortion of facts? Reinventing the history? Sorry we can't be hardly bothered.

The taliban hold the most ground in Afghanistan since 2001. Pakistanis are so happy...

Honestly I have no idea what he's thinking -- but Ghani sab and many people in the Afghan establishment are not stupid. They may not be wise but they are very clever -- I would almost bet that there is a trap being laid for Pakistan.

His statements and actions don't add up -- he's gone several steps further than Karzai. I've followed Ghani sab, his talks and writings long before he became president and I've always said he has a disdain for Pakistan -- though I've seen him greet Pakistanis very warmly too.

Again I think the next few months will tell what he was thinking -- who knows maybe poor health has gotten to him -- but if I were sitting in the GHQ -- I'd be very very careful.

- but if I were the GHQ -- I'd be very very careful.

The one who heads GHQ has clearly stated ............. we know the enemy and we are aware of their traps and conspiracies. It's the other way around because I feel like this side of the border has decided not to put up with this brotherhood sh*t anymore .................... one here may be answered with four there.

Hmmm you may be right about the trap. India has followed a strategy of trying to answer Kashmir violence with Baluchistan. India could be using it's influence to have ghani say this. No doubt the govt and army need to be extra careful and be very vigilant.
