It's an ethno-religious war in my view. TTP hints towards it a lot, and even their demands hint towards it. It's Pashtun-focused.

Even Afghan Taliban their idea of Islam is mixed with Pashtunwali and a bit of ethnic supremacy...

If it truly represented Pakistan as a nation, I believe the army wouldn't be able to stop it at all.

That ethnicity you mentioned is binded by religion. TTP wants their own version of Islamic caliphate and Government, a glimpse of what was seen in Swat. Its not ethnic but religious.

If there's one thing they absolutely despise and ready to die for, it's Pakistan Literally you'll turn out worse than USA.

Agreed. Afghanistan will always be a source of instability for Pakistan.

Only true way to bring stability in my view is to neuter it for once and all. It needs to be partitioned and some parts Pakistan may have to forcefully annex at one point using brute force.

Governments (whether foreign or internal) simply cannot run insurgencies without public support, period. Now twist it left and right and as far as you can take, but the fact remains that no insurgency can propel unless the common man supports it.

I agree somewhat with you but their idea of Islam is also too infused with their culture and aspects of their ethnic supremacy. Hence many people don't 100% go on board with it because it alienates them.

I believe that if TTP wasn't hijacked by a single ethnicity and promoting their cultural and ethnic dominance, the army would never be able to prevent such a group from taking power. It would gain massive national support. But TTP is seen as Islam + Pashtun facism.

But we are free to have a differing opinion here, this is just my perception.
