Pakistan's sedition sweep in Gilgit-Baltistan

The problem in GB is not of dissent, it is of constitutional status. The people or 'dissidents' as they are highlighted by AJ demand constitutional status of a province in Pakistan as they are being deprived of representation as a SAR.
Quite sad to see even after so many years basic rights of these people are not given. Instead of looking for a solution this problem is not even given a thought.

In all the battles Pakistan engages in, GB and Pathans do the first assault after that the mohajirs. And depending upon whether they have won or lost, Punjabis are sent to claim victory or to surrender respectively. Comandoo refused to accept them as his own during Kargil is a matter well noted.
Incorrect and baseless. Have any proof of such preposterous claims. All are equally treated in Pakistan army.

The status of the region remains in a political limbo, granting it the status of a province will grant the Indian position of upholding the status quo considerable credibility and will also widen the chasm between Pakistan and AJK. It is a pity that the people have to suffer though, I hope the GoP can work out some sort of compromise to allow the people some relief. These people are magical honestly.

Do you think India has not tried. And you have now come up with a brilliant idea to 'reciprocate'. Indian state must have tried and still might be. Failure is all one can think of such attempts.

I doubt it's been tried..We are very good at it...and every "patriotic" or not is for sale.

We have a direct border with GB , why bother about Afg'sthan .

For that you will have to wait 8 more years ... :disagree:

we can wait for our great leader Zaid Hamid's release, he may not be able to sit now but he can lead us to this war standing.

Special status could work. Think you already know. Territorial limits
The thing is i am a Gilgiti, i want equal right: i want to be able to vote in general elections, be able to become a head of the state. Be able to be the Cheif of Staff etc, etc. Gilgiti needs proper representation in NA and Senate and proper Constitutional rights. very sad to see.

Bro there should be campaign about give GB province status.
I think it will speed up the process.

Didn't some Indian minister played this to home audience to be popular, the trouble is, after all the terminologies, the likes of, cold start, hot pursuits, surgical strikes, the Indian words are as credible as an ash tray on a motor bike.

And what exactly has any of these got to do with what I said ??

Usually these stories are sold to gullible masses by Pakistani ministers .

Would you give that guarantee in writing so we could proceed further.
Ironically this forced down Indian Army helicopter just happens to sit in Gilgit.

Guarantee is that they will be met the same fate like this one ,

I think there is nothing barring GB residents from becoming COAS but I agree that GB residents need equal rights. BTW are you a Wakhi, Brushuski or Shina speaker?

Head of state etc, etc. Point made.
I speak Shina, Brushuski(a little due to less exposure) and Khowar(speak it fluently). Have a huge family in almost every part of GB. lol. Have family in Hunza, Gilgit city, Chilas, Ghizer etc, etc.
Kicha asus @Icarus ? jum asus a? guess what i just said.

The constitution bars a GB resident from becoming a COAS.... just like other constitutional seats like High Court Judge / HC Chief Justice / Supreme Court Judge / SC Chief Justice......... it's simple, if the constitution does not recognize the area to be a part of Pakistan, then no one can hold such a position from there........

Mostly because GB and Pathans are always desperate to whip Indian backside first.
However, last time Punjabis, Mohajirs, GB, Pathans, Sindhis and Balochis all waited for a whole year but perhaps Dalits weren't keen to fight Indian wars any more.

I have no idea what you said, the Dardic languages share little similarities between them and are virtually alien to the other regions :p: I have a reason for asking you this, let me PM you.
