Delhi: Pakistani intelligence agency ISI are planning to spy on military installations, as per a media report.
As per CNN IBN, the modus-operandi of ISI operatives is to use ex-servicemen as spies.
The report quoted sources as saying that probe had revealed that ISI was phishing ex-servicemen posing as veterans associations.
Pakistan intelligence agency aim is to get classified information in return for jobs and money.
The ISI operatives are supposedly pretending to be from a ex-servicemen association and seeking details about their postings and other information, the report further quoted sources as saying.
Meanwhile, the MHA has written to Defence Ministry over the issue.
Yesterday, a dismissed Air Force official, who allegedly shared secret information with intelligence operatives suspected to be backed by ISI after being "honeytrapped" into an espionage racket, was arrested from Bhatinda in Punjab by Delhi Police.
The accused, identified as Ranjith KK, was a leading aircraft man with the Indian Air Force posted at Bhatinda.
He was dismissed recently and later arrested after a combined operation by Delhi Police's Crime Branch, Military Intelligence and Air Force Liaisoning Unit (LU), Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ravindra Yadav had said.
Ranjith, a native of Malappuram district in Kerala, had joined the Indian Air Force in 2010.
He was been booked under provisions of the Official Secrets Act, said police.
