Pakistan's military capable to penetrate Rajasthan

Sure it is possible, but the problem will be that if Pakistani army is amassing at one point it would leave the other sectors with less man power. And since India has more man power it won't be as difficult for India to have enough number of troops stationed to hold the ground till reinforcements arrives.

Not entirely true.

As proven in 1965, Launching a Tank offensive in Central Punjab is very costly given the irrigation canals, rivers, and other obstacles to break through. Lots of time attacking forces will be held up building bridges and all the while being under constant artillery and aerial bombardment. Something which happened to India as they tried to take Lahore.

The areas where there will be major tank battles in Southern Punjab and Northern Sindh sectors and in those regions Pakistan can concentrate the bulk of its armored forces.

.
Our strength is in arming our population.

Average Pakistani civlians having weapons has always been looked down upon by most Indians, but to tell you the truth it is a double edged sword.

I had a friend with a vintage AA gun mounted on his roof.

Go figure.

So IA would face heavier resistance in Pakistan than the PA would in India.

Arming the population? I'm assuming you're talking of conscription. Not gonna help.

The section of the population of India fit for military service is 250 million males, and 240 million females.

That's like 3 times the entire population of Pakistan (i.e. including kids, seniors, correct age but unfit for service, etc).

So if you're talking of arming the population, India can do faaaaaar better here.

.
Do they have the same training as a normal soldiers do, are they equipped with tanks and artillery guns?
Sure normal population can put up a fight but against tanks and artillery even they won't last long.

You'd be very surprised about how much armaments are flowing through Pakistan.

Honestly If India were to capture territory they would face heavy losses.

I'm not bragging here, but just being pragmatic.

Even cheap explosives would be enough to take care of your armored divisions.

But concentrating armor in Punjab sector, means a deficiency of armor in Rajasthan itself. :undecided: :undecided:

Really?!! !!!!!

IED's are NATO's worst enemy.

What does it take to make them?

Some fertilizer and some other compounds, I'm guessing.

Buddy, both Germany and Japan tried this method during the waning days of World War II and all it did was create more needless bloodshed.

Germany drafted old men and young boys into the Volkstrumm and they failed to make any foreseeable dent into the Soviet Forces and all it led was more death and destruction.

Japan raised the home guard and they fought in Okinawa resulting in the deaths of over 120,000 Japanese civilians.

And given this day and age, its better to use the civilian population for guerrilla warfare rather than throwing them onto the coming onslaught of conventional forces.

Doubt that very much. States closer to pakistan have a somewhat gun culture in comparison to places of pakistan especially in the rural areas of Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana as well as parts of Jammu and Kashmir.

Don't you know Geography?

India's Rajastan border's Pakistan's Punjab.

This whole idea was funny to me to begin with.

This thread is entirely based on speculation and fan boyism.

There are too many factors that would prevent us from even getting to the point of rolling over armored vehicles across the border.

The scernio of the PA breaking through into Rajastan is ...

Nobody messes witj Rajasthan...the last time they came a 100.soldiers kicked out 120 tanks and some 2000 pakistanis...I doubt theyll try that ever again...repaeat...nobody messes with rajasthan...just sayin.

He's not thinking logically. More to do with his ego rather than being practical. It'll be like hunting sitting ducks for the Indian Army if that were to happen.

You are using 2.0 battle strategies in 5.0 modern warfare.

Honestly to me these battle doctrines are now obsolete.

In the past 15 years our own people have only proved that they are worthy of guerrilla war to our own PA.

Pakistan needs to change its doctrine to a Defensive War rather than offensive war.

Pakistan can certainly hold its own in a Defensive War should India choose to launch an attack into Pakistan but Pakistan due to the sheer conventional and technological advantages that India has can never hope to match.

The best case would be to draw India into a costly attack into Pakistan and bleed its attacking forces and reserves and then Pakistan can launch an offensive attack but even that won't work as India can continue the attack for weeks engaging Pakistan into a battle of attrition.

In an all out conventional war between India and Pakistan, Pakistani Army would be defeated in less than two weeks although taking a heavy toll on the Indian forces.

Where have you been? Pakistan's doctrine is already a defensive war.

In an all out conventional war between India and Pakistan, Pakistani Army would be defeated in less than two weeks although taking a heavy toll on the Indian forces.

Rubbish, you overestimate the enemy as if India will be fighting with 100% of it's military nuts and bolt, they have troops and armed forces deployed in the NE as well, AF included. This is not some computer simulation where you take raw numbers of quantity and hardware on paper and say x, y, z will happen. We can only speculate not conclude. Genius military strategies can really tip the scale of any war or simply failures of one side.
