As per news on net the HQ16b range is 70 KM+ with improvement in missile speed, optimized for interception of cruise missiles like Brahmos and already deployed on Indo Chinese border.

You do not need new system and launchers just missiles as the missile range has increased due to more fuel and flight profile so it’s good possibility in future just additional missiles may be procured for additional range ??

Pakistan armed forces knows better which defense system suites better for Pakistan, we just assumes @syed_yusuf

And why you assume that Bangladesh's LY-80 system has a range of 70 km @syed_yusuf

Everything is fine. You buy something to be able to abail of the opportunity of upgrade round the corner. The Chinese are not distributing sweet and Sour prawns for free. Technological development takes time and money. So they want to recover some of their costs. Evwn with its 40 km range it is a good buy for PAF. THE B version will be better.

The interception range is from 3.5KM to 70KM and meanwhile the interception altitude is from 15m to 20000m.
