KARACHI: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif arrived in Karachi on Thursday for a one-day visit to preside over the Sindh apex committee meeting and to tend to other official duties, Express News reported.

Prime Minister Nawaz and other officials will be discussing the implementation of the National Action Plan in the meeting.

The premier also attended the Expo Pakistan 2015, a trade fair, being held at the Expo Centre in the city today.

Nawaz Sharif will also be visiting the family of former Supreme Court judge Justice (retired) Rana Bhagwandas who passed away a few days earlier after suffering a cardiac arrest.

Addressing the audience at the Expo Centre, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was adamant that the energy crisis in the country would end by 2018 and urged industrialists to invest in Karachi.

“Please prepare yourselves because we will overcome this energy crisis. There will be enough energy for everyone so I urge everyone to lay the foundation of their businesses,” the premier said.

PM Nawaz spoke extensively on the energy crisis and his government’s efforts to rid the country from the problem completely and reduce the costs for everyone.

Commenting on the aims to eradicate terrorism from the country, PM Nawaz said that efforts for the implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP) across the country are being made and soon everyone would see a change, especially in Karachi.

The premier lauded the efforts of the textile and rice industries in Karachi and congratulated all those who participated at the ninth Expo Centre trade fair.

“We want the country to move forward and I can already say that the economy is growing. The exhibition has given traders and businesses the opportunity to promote their businesses to the world and gives us the opportunity to learn about other cultures,” he noted.

PM Nawaz concluded his address by thanking all the foreign visitors and officials who visited Karachi to attend the fair and hoped they would remember all good things about Pakistan.

. .
What happened to the promise of ending it within six months of his election ??

Thank God. What a relief... I take my PMs word very very seriously.

. . . . . . .
Why did you guys even elect this joker Chacha Sharif?

Same reason why Dilliwalas elected you-know-who.

That sharif guy made tall promises, offered freebies and the gullible pakistani public took the bait. Now they are crying.

Oh come on Mr. PM stop making promises like eating peanuts one over other we want visible progress.....

What is he proposing to do? Any big projects expected to complete by 2018?

It wasn't him, it was his brother. His brother had no authority to comment on energy crisis issue.

But the planning and investment of Nawaz Sharif to eradicate energy crisis has been initiated recently in accordance to reports citing the examples of powerplant, solar energy and more.

This takes time, but energy crisis will be solved whether during his leadership or after given the slow process in Pakistan.
