Viper is a dedicated attack helo. MI 35 is an assault helo equipped to clear the landing area before dislodging its payload and then provide immediate suppressing fire. Sustained and accurate suppression fire will continue to be provided by dedicated Attack helos. Furthermore, MI-35 is a big helo and less manueverable, than say, a smaller dedicated attack helo.
