UAE has not invested much in India.... and whatever investment they have done has not helped them... I am hoping that Modi govt makes it easy for UAE govt to invest, otherwise its just geopolitics(which is nice but the relation has much more potential).

No o a serious note, I am not a fan of UAE's current govt and their stupid India card policy to "teach Pakistan a lesson". But, I believe that this bromance between UAE and India is quite un-natural. India can not keep her foot in the both camps i.e. UAE and Iran at the same time. Moreover, I am not sure what UAE will win out of India other than some potential business because I dont see any considerable defense export which India can offer to UAE which the later already dont have and other than this, there is no chance of Indian helping UAE with any military man power.

An excellent article. Indian migration to the UAE must be diminished. After all it's an insult to Muslims everywhere, when they only voted for Modi because he murdered Muslims. During cold war because India was non-aligned or pro-Russia..America + NATO naturally favored Pakistan as balancing force in Indian and Arabian ocean..with the cold war gone we are dragging the relic on our shoulders for no reason...

My uncle served in the UAE Airforce and when I saw the UAE prince and their Army Marching and saluting on an Indian day, in india and in front of MODI, I simply change the channel and UAE lose respect in my eyes there and then. And I am sure there r many like me.

He served in the UAE forces because UAE emplooyed him and they are free to employ anyone else..there is a difference between serving in UAE forces in private capacity versus serving the UAE..even former DG ISI Gen Pasha is now working for UAE security establishment...

If you understand how tough post oil economy is then bromance can be deciphered..India is going to full half of its strategic reserved with oil from UAE..and the rest half probably from Iran...which GCC regards as unfriendly...if anything India is doing..is simply nullifying any diplomatic leverage gained in the GCC>..

Pakistan desperately needs to start looking after its own. Pakistan cannot be hired as Hitman when the Arabs feel threatened. Pakistan did the right thing to not send any ground forces to fight the Houthis in Yemen. It is not Pakistans war. UAE bears no burden for the tears of Kashmiri mothers. Nation states don't work like that.

I have not used the word of Ummah or any other religious vocabulary in the current thread. May be you should read properly before replying only on the basis of hate and self-serving ego.

Now having said that, I STRONGLY BELIEVE IN THE IDEA OF ALL MUSLIMS BEING THE MEMBER OF ONE UMMAT. IF ONE GET HURTS, EVERYONE FEELS THE PAIN. The current actions of some of the powerful people of our communities may not go very well with this philosophy, but it is a fact and it will always be rooted deep inside every Muslim center of influence.
