The competency of Pakistani state has been going down since 1947. That should tell you something. Most of the madness you is manifestation of 'desi' mindset and the rise of mullah politics. I agree to the point that Judicial system of Pakistan is crappy but Iftikhar Chaudary was the most satisfying and popular CJ in history of Pakistan and it's not yet 70 years passed.

Nation and media was so angry at his sacking incident.. that they took to streets, protested violently, ruining Pakistan's reputation.
He was so popular a judge that the person who sacked him was later charged for treason.

One doesn't go through all the pain that Pakistani nation went through for reinstatement of a corrupt judge, until it's satisfying beyond the wordly expressions available in dictionary.

Corruption and institutional incompetences is rife in all of them except army and that too because it very quickly modified itself and made the jihad as the main motivation for the soldiers to defend an Islamic country. While judiciary, bureaucracy, education system all are suffering from institutional level corruption, bad culture and laws.

Ifti. was reinstated, putting aside all investigation of corruption for which he was rusticated. Why JIT is missing on his reinstatement.
If Musharraf was unpopular, he wouldn't have been elected.
If Musharraf was unpopular (among politicians / media & NGO's) than still PTI had no right to destroy Pakistan's future.
Only PTI is responsible for where country stands today.

These type of reports are not worth the paper they are written on. They are only as good as the objectivity of the report writers. And I am sufficiently informed of the west to know that most people will bend backwards until you hear the crack of the backbone to accomodate Israel - you know the guilt from 1940s and all that.

And we certainly do not have capital punishment , certainly not for for such a lame reason.
