I wud rather say that common Indians are more sensible than the current Hinduvta rulers in New Delhi. Modi shud draw some aspiration out of those who oppose war with anyone let alone with Pakistan.

Agreed, but if you analyze other side of the coin you may find large number of traitors in Pakistan rather than India.

In both case Pakistan is ahead of India I suppose.

P.S: It is not my opinion, but if you watch some news discussions from Pakistan, you can easily find, your so called analysts naming and blaming someone or the other on multiple occasions to be a traitor on record. You will rarely see such things India. LOL

Not surprised about this. Indians in general, of all religions tend to care more about having a good life than death. Pakistanis, I am sure are more patriotic in that regard and more willing to give away their lives.

Its just the way we are taught, and the environment in which we have grown up in, that teaches us to have restraint and engage only when you are properly ready rather than blow off your wad every now and then, just to sate your crippling inferiority complex that you have felt for over 60 years.

We just believe we can make our country great by various different means rather than just by war(which some people monger for since that is literally all they are good at).

It is an Islamic thing. They spend most of their lives caring about an imaginary after life. One way to achieve a better after life is by giving your life for a cause you believe to be Islamic. So it is not surprising that Pakistans are more willing to die for their Islamic republic. It has nothing to do with patriotism. Indians love their country as much as them and if need be many Indians are ready to die as well but that's not our first priority.

When you compare a poll, you should ask the same question with same options. In this case Pakistanis are given the option of being a "martyr or not" while Indians given option of "being ready or life is too precious". But one thing is clear that Indians value their future more while Pakistanis have nothing to lose type.

Once I came across people talking about Pakistan that enough is enough and India must attack Pakistan and teach them a lesson. My husband just tossed an idea that lets write to the govt. of India appealing to take action against Pakistan and for the expenses a cess is levied equivalent to what we pay as income tax and other indirect taxes are doubled. No one agreed. So much for being nationalist. But at the same time I have seen the poorest people donating to the nation during the Kargil War.

1st: patriotism is not only translated in terms of dying for youur country rather in present situation patriotism more can be depicted in doing some good for your country and donot leave your country.
