Pakistani women police commandos exercises

Showpiece commandos Their most important task is to accompany male police when raiding homes

Not sure about the other provinces but believe me when I tell you that the Lady Police commandos of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are not showpieces. They have played a pivotal role in ridding the KP from the wave of terrorism which was prevalent before 2014. They have assisted in the successful apprehension of many militants and diffused countless bombs.
Militants and criminals are a cowardly bunch. They have a habit of escaping under the disguise of women clothing and burqas and if need be, they will use women and children as a human shield too. Male police were facing difficulties in apprehending the miscreants in more conservative communities so the solution was to train and equip females who can take point and handle such situation as effectively as their male counterparts, without hurting the sentiments of the local population.

What is the point of covering your face when you are displaying your name?

You know names of All wives of Holy Prophet. You even take there names when sitting in gatherings. Tell me these girls are better muslim then our mothers ? Stop this nonsense. Parda shouldn’t be forced it should be embraced by these (and all) ladies if they want to. Har banda apny gar ky lye responsible hy. We should first correct our houses before commenting on others.

Please avoid half-witted comments.
The female commandos of KPK police help in raiding houses with women inside respecting the local culture on "parda" as well as completing the mission. Some of the more knowledgeable members may shed some light on their specific roles. @RescueRanger

You said why parda if they showing their name.

1. Don’t soldiers have a name tag on their uniform ? Pilots too... how about that ?

2. They were in training. Not in combat or some secret mission. And the main reason for KP female police to hide there face is not just to hide identity but consideration of local customs too. Also, these pictures are from last summer, and in summer times the temperature in Nowshera is killing. Everyone cover face male female both. You dont have to be so critic of things that even before knowing anything about them you already criticised them for their “supposed” hypocrasy/proficional incompetency (not hiding the identity completely).

Because these policewoman are supposed to be "commandos". This niqab/mask is part of their uniform. Wearing a niqab is not a standard practice among woman police staff in KPK. If you live in KPK then you should know.

Really that is your reasoning? Wasn't a police academy attacked in KPK? These woman being "commandos" will be a prime target for anti-state elements. And like I above said woman covering their face is not standard practice even in KPK. Clearly it is a half-hearted attempt to hide the their identity, just like your attempt to defend it using the "local custom" theory.

Things some people get triggered by :what:. This "identity-reveal" lapse is the only way to look at it if one uses a clear head without getting triggered.

Not sure what you are trying to say here. We are talking about elite forces here aren't we? But ofcourse you may have easily overlooked that in your haste to post
And yes many spec op pilots have their faces blurred and voices filtered when they are on TV if not portrayed by an acting double
