This particular attack was just a bit too close to the home--literally: This was but a few hundred yards from my family home in North Nazimabad, Karachi and the blast was powerful enough to damage doors and windows to our home. The photo was taken by my nephew from our rooftop early this morning.

It is no more 'right now'--I am late in replying. I have not been there much in years so whatever I say may not be as relevant as the locals might feel. Be that as it may, my 'reaction' can be summed up best as 'fatigue'.

I think the reaction of my family has been of anger, surprise and determination: Anger against those who kill without regard for human life, surprise that such thing happened in such a stable middle class and educated neighborhood (that's my childhood playground, so I know), and determination to go after whoever they are.

There exists a school boy like fascination for Nukes as shown here. The repercussions obviously have not been taken into account.

The Taliban are attacking targets within Pak and the suggestion here is to use nukes ! Against whom and where ?

I felt as you do when an Iranian-inspired terrorist murdered one of my neighbors thirty years ago - except for the 'fatigue' part. I am not fatigued and still determined.
