Executive Summary
This Project is basically a collaborative effort between the engineering team, who are involved in designing and programming, and the business Team that is going to prepare Business Plan for launching a new product named as Centralized Vehicular Fuel System (CVFS). It consists of a device installed in the customer vehicle, an online server called the OCAP (Online Control and Application Portal) and the fuel station terminal. As soon as the fuel goes down a specific threshold level an alarm intimates the driver. The user enters the amount of fuel required and the vehicular device generates a message to the OCAP. The device through GPRS generates a map of the current location of the vehicle and on the LCD screen displays the route of nearest petrol pumps for refueling. The vehicle will be recognized with the unique bar code present and fuel would be provided with cash payment. The business plan includes financial analysis which will contain financial statements, ratios and breakeven analysis. Marketing research and analysis would determine the need and the buying power of CVFS in the market. Cost benefit analysis would help in deciding whether we should manufacture in-house or outsource. Formulation and implementation of strategy is critical and will result in development of competitive strategies, strategic alliances, Sales strategy and milestones. Change control and risk management would be a continuous process which will be handled throughout the project according to changing situations, feedback and problems faced by the team or the prospect customers.
