You'd like the world (and India) to ignore that you allowed one of your frigates to be boarded by radicalised members of your own navy, unfortunately for you this is not going to be forgotten and responsible regional navies have to take precautions for this just as they have to be aware of a whole multitude of risks in the region.

The PN allows their ships to be boarded by terrorists and a gun fight to ensue on their vessel and you hear almost nothing about it from PDF members. The IN chief mentions this is a real threat to India and he is a moron and any other name you guys want to call him.

Indians are known for blowing things out of proportion and issuing retarded statements .. Does this idiot know that PN is a part of anti piracy missions ? All you are doing is sticking your head in the sand. So what if the PN is part of a anti-piracy task force? What does this actually change? Did the Indian Chief state the PN was unprofessional? Did he state they had no legitimate role?

He simply, correctly, stated there is a threat posed by radicalised elements who can apparently infiltrate onto PN assets. Are you going to deny this is a very apparent threat or continue playing this smoke and mirrors game?

Mate, all sorts of 'variables' are played out in contingency planning..... for heavens sake, the Yanks have even played simulations in which even the Martians were one of the variables. It's just one of those discreet system simulations where you get to test out your new hardware and throw in various probabilistic models........ in the end, these are just 'games', most of which will never be used..... the problem here is many not-so-discreet Indian General and Admirals milking these studies............ maybe they are required to spread this 'difinformation' as part of the package by military intelligence? Only god knows............

P.S. Merchants ships are in a different ballpark altogether....... even a half-fed Somali armed with an AK with APB rounds, 6 clips, two sidearms, a kevlar jacket and fast enough dinghy can wreak havoc to a 'merchant ship'!

No Hypey mian; that kind of scenario is not unthinkable and is not limited to Naval Ships alone. It can easily apply to Merchant Ships as well and has been "war-gamed" in the USA as well!
I know about it since I had a chance to go over that with the USCG in the aftermath of 9/11. Not for nothing that LRIT has been made operational by some countries. Just as the IMAC has been operationalised by the IN/ICG.
