Please correct the thread's caption.

"Pakistani Scientist Negates Ohm's Law, Conducts electricity through Non Conducting Materials"

That part is incorrect,

All of modern day electronics is based on Ohm's law, and all of it works.
Well It can be implied as violation of Ohm's Law....According to Ohm the resistivity of non conductors is so high (~Infinity) that brings in the concept of conductors (with low resistivity) and non-conductors (with extremely high resistivity)...So if a ohm's law points to a medium being non conducting and that medium turns out to be conducting....It seems like a negation of Ohm's law isn't it?

Will we still call it electricity if no electron is involved..?

Interesting, but dubious claims.

Why you claim dubious? or perhaps, you just wanted to use the word!

Hope there is some truth in it

Did this guy lied to you before?

There should be peer-reviewed confirmations, unless the technology is an industrial secret.

This is a breakthrough and of huge commercial value... there are companies who can assign an army of scientists to follow on the lead and you are talking about review?

A.I.K
Amplified ImpulseKinematics

website link u have provided is amateurish and have 6 pages out of which 3 are not working.

Thanks for reading 3 pages...

Color me skeptical so far, but I am keeping an open mind for more robust evidence.

evidence!!!!!!! i will pass your request to the poor scientist? considering your skepticism, i will ask him to address your wish on earliest basis :)

how they can conduct electricity if there are no free electrons or ions ?

Where did you read that?

I can only hope he has not 'rediscovered' Superconductivity, otherwise it would be a one big embarrassment.

So you know about superconductivity... what else do you know?
I'm glad to learn that you could read URDU ;)

take a break

If thats true this guy deserve Nobel prize

This is how a neutral person shall respond... bravo.

OHMG..... .......

Is it true... Ohm Santhi Ohm..

...................

Well, dubious means "giving rise to uncertainty" or "of doubtful promise or outcome" or "questionable or suspect as to true nature or quality", and thus is the perfect word to describe the initial report.

The chances of this report being incorrect, misrepresented and/or a hoax, or any combination of the three, is very high. However, I am willing to keep an open mind for now.

Those materials which can't pass electricity are known as non-conductors. They don't pass electricity becz they don't have free electrons and ions to help in flow of current. Non-conductors have large resistance and zero conductivity. If we consider energy bands of a non-conductor there is a large forbidden energy band but a very small conduction band. They are widely used in coating of electric wires. They are also used as dielectric in the capacitors to increase the capacitance of capacitors. Plastic, glass, rubbers, ceramic are examples of non conductors. Moreover, they are also known as insulators.

can any one tel me on which non-conductor they did experiment?? let me know the resistivity of that conductor. please educate me.

I think the inventor is claiming for a MIX of certain ingredients not specified any further than that they are non-conductors.

above statement is wrong.the resistance of a conductor such as a copper wire is dependent upon collisional proccesses within the wire, the resistance could be expected to increase with temperature since there will be more collisions

Mixing non-conductors with conductors??? i dnt think it was a great idea.
