My question is WHY would US want our help???

Because Pakistan is an important player of the region
Almost 20% of population is Shia population
Pakistan borders iran

Perhaps they want assurance that once war start and fall of Iran, Pakistan will not do the same to yanks and their approved puppets in iran like Pakistan did to them in Afghanistan.

Let there be no mistake, after failing in Afghanistan, now they want to try their luck from Iranian side. Pakistan was and will be the prime target for obvious reasons.

We joined a war, and see what happened next. This time, along with Afghani refugees, you have to accommodate millions of irani refugees as well. Better, keep USA away from war, and Russia can do that easily by providing Iran with high level equipment to shoot down anything flying over Iran.
USA need Pakistan for ground logistic support. Better not provide.

US does not ''need'' Pakistan to fight war against Iran as it was the case with Afghanistan, Pakistan's cooperation would be required only for political purpose ....

You don't know Pakistan as well as I do. It's all about money. Whoever pays them most, Pakistani politicians and generals will be on their side. That's how India has been able to keep Kashmir for 70 years.
