Following the arrival of Indian tourists in Pakistan earlier this month, Pakistani visitors will fly to India for the first time in 75 years on a special Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) aircraft on January 29.

Pilgrims used to travel to each other’s lands on foot or by Samjhauta Express. According to Ramesh Kumar, Member of the National Assembly and Chairman of the Pakistan Hindu Council, an agreement was made between the PIA and Air India to promote religious tourism between the two neighbouring countries.

What are the prime pilgrimage spots in India?
Which cities would PIA be serving in India?

Wait is this for Pakistani Hindus going to India for festival?
Or Muslims going to Ajmer etc?
Or both?

I'm sorry but am I missing something here? What pilgrimage does a Muslim Pakistani have to visit in Hindu India? Unless it's for Hindu Pakistanis visiting Hindu Holy Sites in India?

As per the pact, both airlines would operate special flights in this regard. A group of Pakistani tourists would depart from Lahore airport on January 29 and will return on February 1, said the Pakistani News outlet.

During the three-day visit to India, the Pakistani pilgrims would visit the dargah of Sufi saint Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti in Ajmer Sharif, Jaipur, Agra, Mithra, Haridwar and the dargah of Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya in Delhi.

Dr Ramesh said that the visit would cost USD 1,500 to each pilgrim and an additional USD 200 would also be charged if they want a separate room during their stay in Agra and Delhi, The Express Tribune reported.

Notably, as per an agreement inked between Pakistan and India in 1974, the pilgrims can visit religious sites of both countries. The Waqf Property Board and the ministry of religious affairs arrange the arrival and departure of pilgrims.

My friend, in Islam the only Holy Masajid Muslims go to perform pilgrimage are the Kaabah for Hajj or Umrah in Holy City of Makkah. While Ziyarah to Masjid-un-Nabavi in the Holy City of Madinah. No other site is considered as being classified for pilgrimage. So this is a very Indian misconception or a South Asian cultural thing, has nothing to do with Islamic Pilgrimage.
