Indian Navy never failed its citizens It was that ships stupid Pakistani captain who has not responded to the Indian Navy call. Till now Indian Navy has got one of the highest success in fight against the pirates so never dare to speak about OUR NAVY

I guess the charges were false and just a propaganda from Pakistanis to divert attention from internal issues and PNS Mehran attack

More over the release of Indian hostages by Pakistani people/ Govt is also a propaganda by Pakistan to divert attention from real issues. It was actually the mighty Indian navy that took on the pirates and released the hostages without paying any ransom. The investigations revealed that the pirates were actually Pakistani navy men who were getting direct instructions from Naval head quarters in Karachi. PNS Baber came to the rescue for the pirates but it was too late as the Indian Navy already had taken away the bounty. Prime minister Manmohan Singh has congratulated the nation and announced RS. 100,00,000 for the navy Jawans who took part in the action. He will be addressing the nation shortly.

In all probability,Its was miscommunication that led to the alleged incident.There is no information on whether the two vessels were in radio contact with each other.If not the captains would have to predict(to some degree) the path of other ship on their own.To deliberately brush against another ship would be incredibly counterproductive to either party with neither having any salvage crew or personnel around the region.

That being said,To send in INS Godavari when the situation had already been neutralized is akin to overkill.(My dad agrees and he's a retired Captain/CO and has assumed command of warships)
