pakistani media really pisses me off

why the hell pakistani media fails to grow up? why they do reporting like bollywood movie? why they are so immature? why doesn pak media follow guidelines? why pak media behaves so cheaply to get TRP ratings? there should be heavy reforms in pak media, its direction should be changed, manners of reporting must be drastically changed, all the fake journos and fake reporters, and political show presenters must have the real degrees not BA and MA degrees

ethics must be strictly followed and profession reporting and journalism must be done not star plus type of reporting, all unprofessional reporters must be immediately kicked out

the news channels are not entertainment channels, they should follow the international standards not pakistani drama channel standards

for example look at this report

instead of showing real footage of waziristan operation they are showing clippings of a fauji drama, when will this drama end in pak news media?

drama like reporting drowns the credibility of the report and the viewer begins suspecting if the news report he just saw was authentic or a melodrama to increase rating of the news channel?

I have said in many threads that Pakistani media has too much freedom but no professionalism.

Politics aside, give me one Pakistani Urdu news channel on par with Al Arabiya, Al Jazeera, CNN, BBC. Compare how they prepare and show reports and prepare and show news bulletins.

Pakistani media is like a monkey to whom you show a kungfu movie every day for a week and then giving it a real sword and let it loose.

The number of breaking news on Pakistani news channel in a week is many many times more than the number of breaking news of the above four channel combined for 1 month.

Agreed. The whole concept of 'free' media doesn't cross a certain limit ANYWHERE. The way Pak media operates in a roughshod fashion is mind-blowing. There's hardly any narrative. It's always 'breaking news' this and 'breaking news' that.
I'm not talking with regards to the OP but in general this is the case.

Pakistani literary and journalistic tradition is filled with amazing personalities who have served the culture immensely. I'm not talking about any 'people' here (whom I respect a lot) but the way certain 'channels' are being run.

It was musharraf who granted this so-called "azadi" to these private cheapster monkey media houses, the situation has just got worsened in "democratic" period. It seems like people in pakistani political and military establishment have lost any sense of self respect, otherwise all this cheap media facade cannot continue the way it has been doing for last 10 years or so. It is more like media of bhands and mirasis.

Fully agreed. I bet he cannot even imagine as to what he's started. It's going to be downhill from here unless somebody more rational takes control of the media affairs. It's horrifying to say the least.
